The food was average. The lady who served us (it seemed like she was actually the owner) not only didn't speak a single word of English (she seemed downright annoyed by this... annoyed and unhelpful), but, seeing we were struggling with French, she didn't even provide us with English menus to help us. Only after a long wait did a very kind English-speaking waitress come to "save" us. The owner was very cheerful but not very attentive to the customers' needs. It was a complicated and tiring dinner. There were four of us traveling: me, an adult, my elderly parents, and a three-year-old daughter. The food was good.

A fantastic find in Compiègne! We had a wonderful time at Bistro des Terroirs. The food was absolutely delicious and expertly prepared. The staff was efficient, quick, and incredibly friendly, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The air conditioning was also a huge plus, providing real comfort during our meal. A truly great place to eat well and feel at home. I highly recommend it!

The staff was very welcoming, especially to our two young daughters for whom we ordered a children's menu last night (with several course choices). For the adults, the portions were good but not very generous and not worth the €39.90 price tag. Unfortunately, we were seated at the back of the restaurant, in a large room without windows or any real natural light: the area with the glass roof at the entrance seems much more pleasant.

The place and setting are lovely; you really feel a warm atmosphere! The dishes are good and generous, and there's a wide range of options, so you're sure to find something you like! We had a great time; it's a good place to try!

04/07/2026: Arriving with friends at this 15th-century building, we discovered a place that's been a staple of the Rough Guide for many years. It's an address well worth the detour in the Compiègne area for lovers of stone and well-being in a warm, family-friendly setting. A warm welcome, both in the ambiance and on the faces of the staff, awaited us at the entrance. Impeccable service and a delicious meal were served with joy and happiness, featuring a tempting menu. We had a wonderful evening in the company of the owners and staff who, through their experience, offered us a magnificent moment of escape from daily worries, a pause in time in this restaurant that allowed us to relive moments with family, often forgotten by our loved ones. Thank you, a huge thank you, and congratulations! I highly recommend it.
