26/02/2026: I was surprised by the reception I received this morning from a young sales assistant. As usual, I came in and said hello, and there he was, at his till, looking me straight in the eye and saying "Hello!" in a rather unpleasant tone. Surprised, I told him I had said hello when I came in, but he didn't seem very convinced by my response. It's really a shame to react like that, especially since it's not the first time he's served me. I've been a regular customer at your store for over five years, and I've never been disrespectful to you, sir. It's a shame, their Nordic bread is amazing! 🙂 Tomorrow, I'm returning my loyalty card!

09/04/2026: A beautiful, upscale, and refined establishment. Attentive service, crisp white tablecloths, and expert advice. The dishes were sophisticated, and the cheese platter was incredible. Parking right in front of the restaurant. A small investment, but well worth it.

20/03/2026: We stayed two nights and had dinner one evening at this lovely establishment, admittedly with rustic decor but comfortable, and with a pretty view of the park. We received a very warm welcome. For us, the only downside was the breakfast. It wasn't up to par. A shame about that. However, the veranda and the evening meal were definite pluses.

06/03/2026: We had lunch as a couple at Les Accordailles after visiting the Château de Compiègne. The location is very convenient, right next to the château. The service was good. The foie gras appetizer was tasty. However, we have a lot to say about the beef bourguignon: dry meat, undercooked vegetables, and an overly salty sauce. We were very hungry and finished the dish with bread, but it really wasn't good! The desserts (pistachio mousse and crème brûlée) were bland, but acceptable. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the beef bourguignon to the manager, and she simply replied, "It's a matter of taste." It fell short of our expectations, especially considering the bill, which was nearly €100 for two people, without wine, for a weekday lunch.

18/04/2026: Bad experience. Nothing was cooked on-site, the half-andouillettes were tasteless and reheated rather than cooked, the strawberry charlotte was clearly from a store, and even the leeks served as a starter were dry and without sauce. Best forgotten.

15/04/2026: What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was! In a setting reminiscent of a traditional bistro, we had a wonderful time! The staff were very professional and welcoming! Despite being quite busy, everything was well-organized! We all opted for the €24.90 set menu (main course + dessert + a drink + coffee), available only at lunchtime. Excellent value for money considering the quality of the food (you can tell it's homemade) and the generous portions. Being practically in the center of Compiègne (the town hall is just down the street), this set menu is very appealing! "Bistrot du Terroir" has thought of everything: as there are steps to access the main entrance, there is a secondary entrance for people with reduced mobility! However, unless I'm mistaken (referring to the secondary restrooms?), the restrooms are not accessible for people with reduced mobility because there are many steps to climb before reaching them. In short, a very successful experience in this unusual restaurant!
