We found simple, stylish French cuisine in a historic French city among the proliferation of burger and pizza bars. What a delight. Wine menu with a choice to excite the most descerning connoisseur. Highly recommend.

Restaurant in the former St. Michel prison. Impeccable service with plenty of humor and smiles. The dishes were truly excellent. We didn't try dessert, but we were very tempted!

09/05/2026: A Sunday morning staple. We first came because of the location. We go back every Sunday morning because of the server. A must-visit spot in Rennes!
01/05/2026: I'm still looking for the fish in the completely burnt fish and chips that I paid full price for... My advice: avoid this place and choose another restaurant in town!

15/04/2026: La Paix: a Rennes institution! We left the city some time ago, after living there for many years. What a pleasure to rediscover this iconic place. The decor has been modernized; it's magnificent. The owner and all the staff give a warm welcome to every guest. A lovely and varied brasserie menu. Delicious food! We had a wonderful evening; thank you to the whole team!
