Another pleasant surprise in the narrow streets of old Angoulême. Simple but delicious cuisine, smiling waitresses, and a wonderfully cozy setting. We managed to get a table without a reservation. Well done!

A very good, varied, and very affordable set menu: 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts for around twenty euros. The ingredients are fresh and homemade. The service and welcome are very friendly.

We had an exceptional time celebrating a special occasion as a couple. The restaurant is magnificent, chic, and full of charm. At my request, I was able to order an aperitif in advance, as it was a surprise for my partner. The servers were delightful, always with a kind word or a thoughtful touch. They also gave excellent advice on wine pairings. And finally, the meal: incredible! The three-course menu (starter, main, dessert) offered exquisite flavors and beautifully presented dishes. We will definitely be back. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

21/02/2026: What a wonderful restaurant! We were greeted by Jérôme, a fantastic host. He truly understands his customers. The set menu consisted of a starter of snails, a recipe from his grandmother. A delicious dish of escargots followed, along with tomatoes and small sausages. Our main course, the sirloin steak, was perfectly cooked, the result was excellent. In short, a lovely meal, a good glass of wine, and outstanding service. What more could you ask for when you're dining with friends?

21/02/2026: Warm welcome, relaxed nd well very presented with a hint of special occasion. Convenient, located just off the busier back lanes and worth a visit. Delicious food from simple no well presented menu. Greta wine choices, of course. Booked online. Simple online reservation, though the acknowledgment email needs to be much more rapid to be reassuring for those travelling. Hopefully this is an easy fix🤞
