A good restaurant in Angoulême with a lovely setting.
The meal was good overall. One minor drawback: I found the menu wasn't detailed enough, particularly regarding the burger and the steak tartare, in which I thought I recognized mango, which wasn't listed on the menu.

Lovely place, we had generous salads, an excellent vegetarian burger, and a very good steak tartare.
The staff is delightful. The restaurant accepts holiday vouchers, a definite plus!

Regular customers for the past four years, we chose Le Louvel to celebrate our wedding reception on July 17, 2026.
Beyond the consistently excellent cuisine, featuring fresh ingredients prepared with expertise and passion, the service was impeccable, with thoughtful touches for both our guests and ourselves. This day will remain exceptional, largely thanks to the entire team at Le Louvel.
A special mention goes to Delphine and Christophe for their kindness, generosity, and warmth. We look forward to returning to Le Louvel for more meals and memorable moments.

I rediscovered this magnificent place for my sister's wedding. The welcome was fantastic, the setting was perfect, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the meal was absolutely top-notch! 👍👍👍 Thank you to Christophe for welcoming us, fellow Charentais and Beaufortains, with such kindness and thoughtfulness; everything was perfect. Fantastic experience! The setting is lovely, with a charming large terrace at the back of the restaurant where we had dinner. I ate one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! The ingredients were excellent, and the burger was delicious and refined. Good value for money. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it!

A superb experience, served by a charming and smiling young woman who suggested some excellent cocktails. The food was above average for its price, and the staff had a great atmosphere.
And above all, don't hesitate to order the desserts—they were very generous and beautifully made.
We will be back!

A superb experience! We were welcomed and served with great kindness and professionalism, especially by the waitress with the snake tattoo, who was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere very pleasant. I highly recommend this place!

A very beautiful place with a magnificent terrace. The cuisine is varied and very good. The meat was cooked perfectly as requested. The profiteroles were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant in the center of Angoulême.

The terrace behind the restaurant is simply incredible, magnificent, and beautifully shaded—a rare find in Angoulême.
The cuisine lives up to expectations: high-quality ingredients and memorable dishes. Special mention goes to the pork pluma and the duck breast with Pineau des Charentes sauce, both absolutely delicious.
The only downside: for the prices, the portions are a bit small, and the side dishes are limited to a few new potatoes. We would have appreciated a bit more variety. But overall, the experience is truly wonderful.
The service and welcome from the staff were top-notch.
Highly recommended!
