Bistrot St Edouard sur Vannes

The restaurant is nice, the dishes are varied, and the service is quick, but I won't eat inside again. The waiters are constantly running past you; I had at least four of them. It's not pleasant. They can do their jobs without running.

Excellent brasserie offering a pleasant atmosphere, professional staff, and high-quality cuisine. Today's menu featured a sublime seafood sauerkraut. Kudos to the chef! 👍

September 22, 2025 We just left this restaurant and we're delighted. Excellent value for money, it was delicious. Fast service and Thank you to the staff for their warm welcome and also for accepting dogs. Top notch ☺️

A bad business experience... I withdrew a review written on the spot (never do) and noticed a response that should have shown at least a shred of understanding; which was far from the case. I withdrew my review because I know the job is difficult; this doesn't excuse the (poor) decision made regarding a one-off issue expressed by the customer: hearing "I understand" without necessarily satisfying the customer would have helped to calm the situation and not reinforce the disappointment. Only the young man at the checkout had the right reaction. I still think the decision was inappropriate, especially for customers who weren't in the habit of complaining... but that's how things are. It's a shame... because the quality of the food was usually excellent. Progress would consist of accepting the mistake and not shifting it onto the customer. I also admit to being surprised by the more than vehement response I received, and, as I'm used to questioning myself and trying to be fair, I understand it as a heated reaction to my comment, which was also a heated one. A little listening, perspective, and self-reflection would be helpful: just one potential avenue for improvement.
