A fantastic discovery in Leucate! We had a wonderful time at Bodega El Flamingo. The value for money is truly excellent: the tapas are delicious, the portions are generous, and the cocktails are fantastic. Everything you need for a great evening! Special mention to the servers, who were lovely and very friendly, and who definitely contribute to the atmosphere of the place. And above all, we absolutely loved the setting! It's warm, inviting, and truly pleasant; you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. I highly recommend this place for a drink, to share some great tapas, and to spend quality time with friends or family. We'll definitely be back!

I was a little disappointed by Bodega El Flamingo in Leucate, which I chose based on the numerous positive reviews and photos that had enticed me to try it. The experience was okay, but unfortunately nothing special. I ordered a lamb shank that I found rather bland, accompanied by mashed potatoes that were a bit mushy and also lacked flavor. My partner chose the grilled cuttlefish, which seemed to have been frozen. For dessert, the profiterole with coconut ice cream was very generously sized, but the choux pastry was unfortunately very dry and the whipped cream rather runny. The portions are undeniably large, but I found the presentation quite simple and, above all, the dishes generally lacking in flavor. It's a shame, because with well-seasoned ingredients and a more refined presentation, the experience could have been truly different. Regarding the service, the two young waiters, a young woman and a young man, weren't particularly friendly. That said, I'll readily grant them mitigating circumstances: the restaurant was full, and there were only two of them to handle the service, which clearly seemed a bit inadequate. We also waited 45 minutes between ordering and the arrival of our food. And that evening, the heat was truly oppressive in the dining room, which isn't air-conditioned. There were a few ceiling fans, but unfortunately, we weren't seated directly under them. In the end, instead of being a relaxing experience, I was mostly just eager to leave. The place is still unique and pleasant, however, and that's probably what I'll remember most about this experience. I've had much better food in Leucate in terms of taste and quality. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and it is all the more a shame as I live in Leucate year-round and would have liked to make it a good address.

A family-run business, with a professional and warm welcome, excellent cuisine, and a pleasant, authentic setting. Don't forget to book during peak season. Once again, I was delighted with my experience. Everything was perfect, not a single flaw.
