Excellent service from both the waitress and the chef who worked right in front of us. We felt very welcome. The local produce was excellent, and everything was homemade. Special mention for the dessert. Go without hesitation. Very good value for money. The drinks are inexpensive, so there's plenty of opportunity to treat yourself. It's true that from the outside, the place doesn't look like much, but you forget that as soon as you step inside, for all the reasons mentioned above.

Passing through Saint-Paul-les-Dax, we made another reservation for the following evening because this little restaurant is a gem (unbeatable value for money), a truly wonderful discovery!

We stopped here by chance on our way to Pamplona, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve had in France! We ordered the salade de gésiers, magret de canard, filet de bar, and the gâteau aux pommes. Every dish was cooked to perfection, the portions were just right, and the gâteau aux pommes was truly exceptional. The service was warm and friendly, the food was clearly freshly prepared, and everything arrived surprisingly quickly. We arrived at noon and were lucky to get a table, as the restaurant was already filling up with regulars who had booked in advance. If you’re in the area—or simply passing through—don’t drive past. It’s absolutely worth stopping, and we’re so glad we did! 😊
