Good restaurant, with well worked out dishes; choices of meat & seafood. Prices are a bit over the average of similar restaurants in Colmar. Nice wine list. They hv 2 terrasses by the Lauch river. Highly seeked, so booking is a mist if u do not wish to be in their inside dining room. Smoking is possible, but they would ask u to go outside not to disturb guests.

During a visit to Colmar, we spontaneously decided to visit this small, beautifully situated restaurant! Even without a reservation, the friendly service made it easy for us to get a table. A small but excellent wine list with expert advice made our choice easy, and the lunch menu was truly outstanding. My favorite: Daurade Marinaée au Lait de Tigre – simply sensational. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect – both times! We've now been to the Bord'eau Restaurant in Colmar twice, and both times it was perfect. The food is divine, and the service is absolutely top-notch. Honestly, we can't imagine how it could be improved. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star. A clear 5 stars and more – we'll definitely be back.

Slightly more up market than the average Colmar restaurant. But great food and wine in a stunning location by the canal.

The ambiance is actually quite pleasant – the service seemed reasonably attentive and friendly, but not very competent. To start, we were served a kind of choux pastry and a small amuse-bouche of cauliflower cream. The former was okay – the latter could have used a pinch of salt. The foie gras was mediocre and served without any care, accompanied by something like cherry compote, three dollops of blueberry jam, and two toasted, rather dry slices of bread. The so-called Scalpicón – actually a seafood salad – consisted of a tiny amount of shrimp under a generous dome of rather bland basil espuma. The main course was a sea bass for two. We had expected it to be cooked whole. Instead, we received two separate fillets, although these were of impeccable quality. The fish was served on a rather overcooked curried cabbage with a few chickpeas and sultanas. Each meal was accompanied by a small bowl of rice, which was quite tasty in itself, but bore absolutely no resemblance to the advertised "Creole rice." Alongside the meal was a small loaf of semi-white bread, which was truly delicious and, despite the modest portion size, left us feeling satisfied. In conclusion: This restaurant, operating as an offshoot of a Michelin-starred establishment, basks in the reflected glory of fine dining – but the dishes on the plates are mostly uninspired mediocrity, lacking any finesse. We enjoyed a Crémant from Barmés-Buecher with our meal. That, and the small loaf of bread, were the highlights.

We had a wonderful evening at Bord’eau. The food was truly delicious, especially the appetizers and semi-gastronomic main courses, which demonstrated great inventiveness and were executed to perfection. The desserts were equally excellent. Bravo to the pastry chef! The service was impeccable, with a special mention for the young woman in charge of the wines for her kindness and professionalism.

A delicious meal through and through, but servers seemed too busy and there were long periods where no one checked in to see if anything was needed. The patio was nice but the location has many people walking by and staring at you, which kind of takes away from the experience.

Really enjoyed this place. The location is as good as you can get it in Colmar right next to the canal and the market place in centre of town. Me made reservations in advance and got excellent seats outside next to the canal. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We never asked for a wine list but asked her for suggestions on local wines. They were well paired and reasonably priced. We opted for a three course meal and had both fish and meat for starters and main dishes. The food was extremely delicious and very well presented. Considering the level of the food I found the price level to be more than reasonable. I highly recommend this place.
