Boulangerie Ange Angers sur Angers

This bakery is smaller than the other Ange bakeries in Angers. There seems to be slightly less hoox (a type of pastry) and the reception area is smaller. But otherwise, they are very welcoming.

What a shame to see the cook smoking behind the bakery near the bins 😝

The staff is very professional and helpful. A big thank you to Taaré who took the time to make sure I got the bread I wanted.

A warm welcome, a knowledgeable salesperson. Excellent value for money and late opening hours mean you can bring home a pineapple/coconut tartlet for a birthday (and make someone very happy!).

Spacious bakery and friendly staff

During my visit to Ange Bakery, I encountered the trainee, and to be honest, I'm not the easiest customer. So, I put him in an awkward position, and one of the shop managers, presumably, came over to help him, but she belittled him, saying, "Yes, he's just a trainee." I don't accept things like that; it's belittling, especially in front of other customers. Okay, he's a trainee, but he's still in training. If I had been clearer in my requests, there wouldn't have been any problem with my loyalty card. Everything would have gone smoothly. I find his colleague's behavior rather poor, even though she was pleasant to me. Next time, avoid belittling your trainees, especially in front of customers!

(I removed one star, which will be explained in the comments below.) Perfect, I recommend the Ange bakery. The staff is quite pleasant, attentive, and rather patient, depending on who you get. They offer very good advice, except for the communication. Indeed, if you open an Ange account within three months of your birthday, you are entitled to a free tart worth less than ten euros. I came and opened my account. I was told to come back later, that I would be eligible. I see on the sign that it's within three months. It doesn't specify that you actually have to come on your birthday! And this isn't mentioned when creating the card or even in-store! So I didn't get my tart. I'm quite frustrated and very disappointed by this poor communication. That's the only reason I removed a star, because the communication wasn't great. I'll update this review if things improve during the year 😁 Apart from that, the place is clean and the service is fast. I'll definitely be back regularly, because the hazelnut pastries are good, the tarts too, and their breads are very reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to visit this bakery if you're passing through; you won't be disappointed. Their pastries are extremely good, especially the white chocolate croissants. I also had a really good latemachiato. The price is very affordable. So, be sure to ask about the special offers... I've currently posted a photo of 8 baguettes for 5 euros today, which is a great deal, especially since they're so good... 😉

The service was quite fast, and the staff were always smiling. There was a wide selection of pastries and bread.
