Boulangerie Bio Eskuz sur Hendaye

Busy but very friendly bakery with fresh breads and pastries being made all the time. The baguette was fantastic (crunchy outside, soft interior) and the gateau Basque had a nice soft crumbly texture with a good balance of sweet and salt. I'd personally prefer the filling to be a little more tart (it was a touch sweet for me) but it's excellent with an espresso! Croissant and pomme de terre were solid (the dough was softer and could have been a touch flakier, but that's a personal preference). Would absolutely recommend it!

Magnificent bread, whether baguettes or loaves, pure bliss for the taste buds. It reminds me of my childhood. It's a shame that this isn't the norm in France anymore...

It's been a very long time since I've enjoyed a traditional baguette of this caliber! A thousand times bravo! Bakeries that put on a show with their decor but serve bread that's nothing special are everywhere. Bakeries like yours, simple and authentic, with the taste of well-crafted work, are sadly much rarer. In short, don't change a thing. We'll be back tomorrow!

I bought a Basque cherry cake here today. The shop itself is in a building next to the bakery. Besides pastries, it's a small grocery store and a bit of a bar (they have a terrace outside). It's an organic bakery that makes products without preservatives and with organic ingredients. The quality of these ingredients might make it a bit more expensive than other bakeries. The Basque cake was good, it was tasty; although it wasn't the best I've ever had. I wouldn't mind going back.

A traditional bakery with a wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread. The pleasant scent wafts up when you're nearby, proving the products are fresh. The staff are friendly and smiling, and the service is impeccable. Delicious bread and tasty pastries.
