The food and service were great. The atmosphere is just crazy however - it’s a tiny bakery and there’s only enough room for a single file queue and there’s tons of dirty looks and snide comments as you go past even though you tried to excuse yourself. When we were eventually served, the lady was very patient and accommodating to us and it was a positive experience. We loved the almond allumette pastry and the maquis cake which the bakery is famous for, really soft and moist made of chestnut, honey and some kind of orange like citrus. It was lunchtime and many customers were ordering the savouries. We would happily come back here (maybe earlier in the day!)

A perfect place to have a quick coffee (nota bene: Nespresso based) with some very delicious bread or cake or something else beeing suit and very tasty

Baguette and Apple Galette were delicious however the chocolate sticks ( wrapped in a very dry dough) and bread loaf were a miss. Loaf had a heavy molasses taste that overshadowed the bread. The service was quite unpleasant, we tried our French but were not very good so not well received.

For an institution I think it needs to improve. There are outdoor tables but we have not been served at a table for 10 minutes. Moreover, after ordering in the bakery we were served with coffee in cups... Blah blah

The brocciu fritters from Galeani are pure joy and surely the best in Ajaccio. Everything is homemade, both the bakery/pastry classics and the Corsican specialties for which this house is a reference that is very difficult to match.

Clients très réguliers de cette boulangerie depuis bien longtemps, nous y retournons toujours avec grand plaisir.
Le pain est très bon (la baguette Sampiero, ma préférée !), les canistrelli toujours aussi bons, et les autres spécialités (notamment le Maquis) sont un vrai régal. Gentillesse du personnel, conseils sur les produits... On s'y régale avec les yeux et le palais ! Si Galeani existe depuis presque 200 ans, ça n'est pas pour rien...
Je recommande vivement !
