Boulangerie-Patisserie Romain Corretel sur Saint-Raphael

The traditional baguette was excellent, but the service was unprofessional (except when the owner was there). The staff was untrained and kept customers waiting for ages because they were chatting amongst themselves (why don't the owners keep them in line?). Furthermore, there's no parking in front, so I was dropped off, and in the meantime, the driver drove around the block several times before picking me up. It's a shame; with trained staff, this bakery would be a huge success.

Excellent bakery, you really must try it! The saleswomen are very friendly. And the baguettes are delicious!

We bought fougasse, quiche with bacon, and all sorts of sweet pastries (pain aux raisins, pain au chocolat, Jesuiten) and couldn't eat them until the next day because we were on the road for a while. A dream! The fougasse was still fresh the next day, the quiche, quickly warmed in the oven, was sensationally crumbly and moist. I hadn't even heard of Jesuiten before, fragrant, moist, and crispy. We ate the pain au chocolat out of hand on the go, and the pain aux raisins, moist and sweet, were a delight the next morning. We devoured everything down to the last crumb, delicious ❤️

The pastries are very good, and the saleswoman is incredibly kind. I recommend it.
