This evening apparently some difficulties in the kitchen. Very long service, many dishes missing.
But the staff did everything to limit the damage.
The podcheleef, fries and carpaccio were up to par and should be included as a reference at the Sèvres pavilion

We came following a TV report which praised the merits of this brewery. Unfortunately we were rather poorly seated in a corner on a small table. Impossible to unfold the legs. It ruined our moment. On the other hand, the service is fast, the staff relatively friendly, well polite as required. The decor is period and quite impressive, well preserved. On the kitchen side we are disappointed, nothing transcendent for a rather salty final note. In short, we saw it, we won't come back again.

I came in May I had reservations for myself and my friends. We are not from the area and we wanted to test the specialists in the region. I had a welsch with fries as a main course. This is the second time I've eaten it and still not disappointed with this dish. For dessert I had the raspberry champagne which is also a specialty. I really liked a rather atypical fruity dessert and the accompaniment between champagne and raspberries was perfect.

Small typical brasserie, warm wooden decor, waiters in uniform, brasserie menu with local dishes.
I was disappointed by the potchevlech, served with meat bones and liquid gelatin.
Overall on the table, the presentation of the dishes leaves something to be desired, decent cuisine but without relief, it is not exceptional.
We weren't convinced, but to eat typical dishes from the North, in a typical atmosphere, this is the right place. No mussels and fries on the menu.
In the heart of Lille, the brasserie is well located, in a pedestrian street, easy to find.
Remember to book, it was full.

Just off the main square in Lille. This is a town icon which is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. The inside is cozy with classic wood paneled interiors and large wooden tables. The menu has all the signature dishes you might expect from an old school brassiere such as asparagus salad, croquettes and of course snail/escargot which was excellent. They also serve Welsh rarebit (cheese on toast) which I hadn’t seen on a menu for a long time.
Main courses are mainly dominated by meats especially the steak cuts. I had beef cheek stew with pomme purée which was amazing. The French fries were also delicious.
Desserts are a hit including crepes, chocolate cake and crème brûlée.
Worth a try!
Il faut réserver et nous avions réservé. Le décor 'brasserie' est centenaire. Excellent accueil. Le personnel est prévenant tout en ayant une couche d'humour bienvenue. La carte est avenante. L'andouillette est délicieuse, les gambas tout autant, le pouilly fumé en carafe tout simplement parfait, la crème brûlée une des meilleure.
