Brasserie Andre sur Lille

We arrived just before the kitchen closed, but the welcome was friendly and professional. We were told we could only order one main course and one dessert, so there were no surprises. The meat was excellent, and the cooking time was perfect. The desserts were generous and of good quality. The dining room was rather quiet given the late hour of our visit, but it was steeped in history (we're not from the area). The service was pleasant and not rushed. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing dinner for two.

We shared a wonderful time as a family (2 adults and 2 children) enjoying traditional mussels and fries at the Lille flea market. The homemade fries were excellent, and the staff were attentive, providing quality service despite the large crowds. The vintage decor created a warm and memorable atmosphere. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.

Context: Lille Braderie The menu was adapted for Braderie day, but we were quite disappointed. Okay, the bouchot mussels were small due to the heatwave; it was even written on the menu, so we were warned. But this was the only restaurant out of three days that served us ridiculously small mussels, more the size of clams than mussels... The restaurant is decorated in a retro style, and the waiters were efficient but not very welcoming. (One of them took the salt from my table and put it on another without even asking if I was going to put more on my fries!) And let's not even talk about the young people working their first Braderie shift; I think everyone is ripping off the Braderie participants, and nobody seems to care anymore. The prices are much higher than elsewhere, without any justification. In short, enjoy the Braderie and come to this kind of establishment when it's quiet and they have a proper menu.

As a person with reduced mobility, I was well received despite the crowds at the flea market, thank you.

Brasserie André is not just a restaurant, it is an institution! Food is delicatelg prepared from fine raw products. Special recommendation for meat lovers; onglet de bœuf Angus. And to seal the stomch: a portion of profiteroles as dessert.

A very pleasant time in a lovely setting, perhaps the tables were a little too close together. The meal was very good, with one small drawback: the calf's liver was a bit tough. Be aware that prices are increasing significantly.

A historic brasserie in Old Lille—they even sell a book commemorating its 100th anniversary at the entrance. The pros and cons of this kind of place. Superb decor. Waiters who perform with a smile. The food is a bit pricey, especially the wines, but it's good, featuring classic northern dishes: shrimp croquettes, Welsh rarebit with fries, and crêpes flambéed with Grand Marnier tableside. Touristy but good. That's what you come for.
