The setting of this renowned brasserie is superb. The glass of quality champagne (Pommery) was excellent. Unfortunately, the steak tartare wasn't hand-chopped, but it was well-seasoned. I was a little disappointed with the presentation. The meat was simply placed in the middle of the plate without any garnish. The thin-cut fries were fantastic. The chocolate mousse was homemade. It was good value for money, and the dining room was beautiful, but I was still a little disappointed.

We enjoyed deliciously prepared dishes, a lovely wine list, very professional table service, attentive staff, a beautiful setting – a true pleasure to dine at. We will gladly return on our next visit.

A very French place. After talking to the waiter, we learned that it's one of the top-ranked restaurants in the city. The food is wonderful, the portions are huge, everything is delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful and atmospheric. We came during the day, but after 3:00 PM, it was empty. They're mostly preparing for dinner, so it's probably best to book for the evening.

Meert Restaurant

10/05/2026: Méert could genuinely be my favourite dessert place in the world. I still can’t forget the taste of their famous waffles, delicate and lightly crisp on the outside, yet soft and buttery in the centre, with a rich vanilla filling that melts beautifully with every bite. They somehow feel both elegant and comforting at the same time. I loved them so much that I even ordered delivery while living in London. That alone probably says everything.
09/05/2026: Meert was once a renowned establishment in Lille. Sadly, that's no longer the case. Whether it's their pastries or even their chocolates, their products are still high-quality, but often overpriced. And what about the service and the friendly atmosphere, which have declined significantly over the years, whether in the shop, the tea room, or the restaurant? So I've decided to stop going there altogether. Other shops in Lille offer a much better experience and a far more welcoming atmosphere.

26/05/2026: I come to the Morrison very regularly, it's a great establishment. Special mention to Flo who is always super friendly and efficient.
04/05/2026: Very friendly staff, good beer, and great music. I'll be back. Greetings to Estelle, Clara, Noemi, and the other friends I met there on Saturday night (Estelle and Clara speak perfect Italian, which was a real surprise for me).
