Outstanding. A good traditional French bistro in a grand high ceiling room, located near the station. The 49 euro 3 course prie fixe menu was astonishing value for money with huge choice of starters and mains and 5 desserts. Good portions, beautiful presentation, slick service and everything well cooked. Sensibly priced wine list. Booking recommended as it is unsurprisingly popular, mainly with locals rather than tourists, as it is about a 15 minute walk from the tourist area around the cathedral. Highly recommended.

Excellent dinner at the Brasserie des Arts et Métiers! The decor is exactly what you'd expect (there's even a door marked "Telephone" in the basement, next to the restrooms!), the service is impeccable, and the staff is welcoming, warm, and professional. The price is fair, and the portions are generous! We thoroughly enjoyed the duck confit and the seafood sauerkraut!

We spent the evening at this restaurant, four of us on the terrace. The service was provided by a young, inexperienced waiter—poor guy, not his fault—but it was incredibly slow. They didn't even have cloth napkins, just paper ones. We ordered steak tartare, but the fries were under-seasoned and completely overcooked. So, we were really not satisfied.

A beautiful setting and a superb restaurant well worth a visit in Metz, whether for a meal with friends, family, or even as a couple!
The staff is very professional and particularly attentive. They were especially kind when the crab toast seemed to have a slightly strong odor: they immediately offered to replace it.
The creamy soup was excellent, both flavorful and refreshing.
A truly wonderful experience, I highly recommend it! 🫶🏼
