Brasserie Le France sur Moulins

It was very busy in the square, and because the staff at the nearby restaurant were quite surly towards the customers, we decided to eat at Le France. They told us we had to wait an hour due to the crowds, which was no problem for us. The staff was very friendly, and the food, which arrived much faster than expected, was delicious. Definitely recommended for a visit sometime.

This morning, we had two kir cassis around 11 am. The white wine was very poor quality, perhaps a cheap, rustic wine, and the cassis unfortunately didn't mask its bad taste. Never again 😰

Unpretentious, warm, and efficient service. The vegetarian burger was soft and delicious, with its potato patties and cooked vegetables (corn, carrots, etc.). A beautiful presentation.

The food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent; the staff is fantastic. However, a slightly disappointing experience on Saturday has led me to deduct a star today: We wanted to have a drink around 9:45 pm. We went to the bar to save the staff from having to go back and forth, and the bartender told us they only served food, not drinks (which I completely understand). However, we noticed tables right in front of us with people who were only ordering drinks and no food. When we pointed this out to the bartender, their response was, very coldly, "Yes, but they're allowed to, they're regulars." We often come for drinks, and we've eaten there several times... I don't know when someone can be considered a regular... It's a bit of a shame because otherwise, we're always well served and very happy to eat there.

A generous meal and a very good dessert. The waiter, Esteban, always had a lovely smile. A very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The terrace was lovely and nicely shaded. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The service was very slow, and the drinks were mostly ice. We wanted to order something for afternoon tea, but the menu never arrived. We felt like our request was inconvenient. It's a shame.

A Friday morning experience. It's 10 a.m., we stop for a cold drink. We choose a table under the trees. But the waiter makes it clear that this table is for lunch, as there are folded cutlery and napkins on it. But it's only 10 a.m.... the waiter grudgingly agrees to serve us anyway....but please, be a little more customer-oriented!

The food was excellent, no complaints. However, I waited 45 minutes for a coffee, even after mentioning it three times. In my opinion, this was due to a shift change where the staff hadn't followed the instructions of those who had gone to eat. Luckily, the waiter from the first shift noticed, and despite pointing it out to his colleagues, I continued waiting until he got up from his meal and brought it to me, saying, "It's on the house." Meanwhile, an elderly gentleman who was going to the restroom had his entire meal cleared away before he'd finished. When he returned to his seat, he pointed it out, and the waitress replied rather rudely, "I couldn't have known you were in the restroom." In my opinion, this young woman is far from suited to working in a restaurant. Otherwise, I found the prices a bit high (appetizer/main course/dessert = €50).
