Brasserie Lecoq sur Clermont-Ferrand

I'm wary of restaurants with too many menu options, but this is a well-established place, and they make sure you know it. An iconic spot on Place de la Victoire with a pleasant atmosphere. The daily specials are reasonably priced, and the other dishes are also good. The service was excellent, no complaints whatsoever.

Impeccable service, you can tell the team cares about their customers! Very much appreciated! However, the food wasn't up to par... The steak tartare was very greasy and the aligot wasn't very tasty!

Had a very mediocre meal. The restaurant looks very chic and the service is too, but they could put more energy into the preparation of the dishes. The prawns as a starter were almost impossible to peel and the salad was bad: carrot, cucumber, and a few tomatoes with a simple dressing and some greasy, rather tasteless spring rolls and prawns. The beer was good and the service friendly.

A very good time. Served in one hour...very, very good. The terrace was full and there was no noise...fantastic.

We recommend this establishment in the city center. It is close to the cathedral. They offer dishes at affordable prices, well presented and seasoned. The waiter speaks several languages ​​which makes it easy to understand. We will be back.

We had made a reservation and were welcomed with genuine care. An excellent experience on the terrace overlooking the cathedral. We will definitely return when we are next in Clermont-Ferrand.

We had a wonderful time with friends. A huge thank you to Mathis, who was fantastic throughout the entire meal. He's a guy who does his job with heart and humor. I'm still waiting for the candle, though! Mathis doesn't change a thing except the plates!

Passing through Clermont-Ferrand on our way to our holiday in the Ardèche, we had a great time. The welcome was wonderful and friendly, the price was reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend it.
