Our family took our first trip to Europe, and as part of our Paris leg, we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris.
The hotel is beautiful, and our rooms were fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. My wife was happy to see Dyson hair dryers in the spacious bathrooms.
The entire staff - guest relations, concierge, doormen, housekeeping, and restaurant servers - could not have been nicer or more thoughtful. They always had a kind word and looked to go above and beyond. Even the tour and restaurant recommendations by the concierge were perfect.
The location felt a bit quieter to us, but it was still vibrant and within walking distance of numerous attractions and cafes. It is also the only hotel on the Left Bank to receive the Palace rating by the French government.
We were sad to leave, but we had a great time and met some wonderful people.
Three of us had a dinner at their restaurant, we did not stay there.
Appetizers, mains (sole, steak, clams, cocktails, wine, deserts, service were all great. The second floor had an extra sitting room gallery. The place was well air-conditioned.
