Great location at the port, but the food was disappointing. I ordered mussels with Roquefort cheese: the mussels were tiny. The waiter was clearly having a meltdown… in short, not for me.

The waitress who served us clearly lacked the necessary empathy to handle customers; perhaps she was having some personal issues? Our last visit, last month, had gone much better. That said, the people who brought the food and drinks were nice, and it's not a big deal; are we ourselves always beyond reproach?

The food was very good, no complaints there. However, one waiter in particular was extremely unfriendly, pressuring us to order, eat, and clear our table quickly. He rolled his eyes and sighed when we asked for a carafe of water. It's a shame because the setting on the quayside is lovely!
I recommend this restaurant if you're in a hurry.

While passing through La Rochelle, a friend recommended this brasserie, unaware that they served excellent mussels! The restaurant was packed, but we received a warm welcome, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was dynamic and friendly. A pleasure to visit, thank you, and best of luck for the future.
