Café Barrière sur La Rochelle

The atmosphere at the bar is very friendly, and the staff, especially Christophe and Kerwin, are very competent with customers. There's also a good atmosphere in the dining room with Antoine, Paul, and Tom, the new guy.

Always the same very friendly welcome and top-quality food. Well done! Two years later, February 22nd: Ordered 4 aperitifs. Upon arrival at our table, 2 were properly placed, but the other two had landed on the table, resulting in a flood. They were replaced, of course, in the same glasses. The person whose sweater got hit by the aperitif wasn't even offered coffee. 👎 Average. Visit August 2026: Minor issue with a dish reported. Thank you for your responsiveness and your gesture. Staff always very attentive.

I had lunch on the terrace at the Casino restaurant. It was a mix of buffet and à la carte dishes. It was very good; we really liked the set menu. Excellent value for money, with the added bonus of a stunning view. The service was also very pleasant. We had made a reservation, which was fortunate because it got very busy after 12:30 pm.

The staff is very welcoming, but I find the casino quite small with not enough space at the roulette or blackjack tables. And I'm taking off a star because there are people splitting 10s against a head

The food is very good, with a large selection at the self-service counter.

A wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the service excellent 🎁 Chef's special plus unlimited dessert for €29 Magnificent view 💯 Highly recommended

Very nice place by the sea. Friendly welcome, the only complaint is that there are no more 20-cent slot machines to pass the time (minimum 50 cents).

The casino is very nice and there are plenty of tables and machines to play! However, what I regret about this casino is the digital roulette, which is my favorite game... I would have preferred: - a minimum bet of 0.50 on some stations, like in many casinos, to allow betting on more numbers; - a less sticky or glitchy touchscreen, as sometimes you have to press it ten times to place your bet (which is very frustrating); - the ability to display the odds of winning on the bets! It's a pretty basic feature, but I couldn't find it. I'll definitely come back, but not for the roulette!

Beautiful setting, superb meal and generous gourmet coffee.

Very attentive to customers, water available, iced Mars bar, very good
