11/08/2026: Excellent! My first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant was a success! The food was superb, with some wonderful discoveries! The presentation was magnificent! The service was perfect: wine, suggestions, seating—nothing was lacking! And the view was absolutely stunning, of course! Thank you!
09/08/2026: A mixed experience...
We had lunch at the Têtedoie gourmet restaurant in early August 2026, on a Friday.
We opted for the set lunch menu at €85 per person, including drinks.
The starter was excellent: a smoked eggplant glazed with black olives to mimic the texture of the vegetable's skin, accompanied by cuttlefish.
However, the main courses were quite ordinary: pork with beans prepared in various ways, the meat overcooked, rather tough, and lacking any real attempt at flavor.
The fish, presented in the shape of a rose, was more flavorful, but ultimately rather uninspired, and the rose itself revealed the fish's black veins, betraying the intended elegance.
The dessert (plum vacherin) and the petits fours, on the other hand, were superb.
Overall, a rather average experience, with too many shortcomings, it seems, to warrant a Michelin star. Perhaps the higher-end menus are better, but a Michelin-starred restaurant should be impeccable even for its lunch menu. This experience certainly didn't encourage us to return.
It's also worth mentioning that everything is designed to push you to spend more, beyond the reasonable prices advertised for this lunchtime set menu. For example, we were offered a glass of champagne for €35 (per glass) as an aperitif, before being given the drinks menu to check the prices. More generally, the price of drinks by the glass is staggering: not a single glass of wine under €20. This is a business strategy that smacks more of tourist traps than French elegance.
