Café Albertine sur Rennes

I've been a regular at this café since I arrived in Rennes, about twelve years ago. Everything is always delicious: main dishes, sandwiches, desserts, brunch, soups. I appreciate always finding Lapsang Souchong there 😉. I had a harissa banh moi sandwich for lunch today: very good, but not quite as good as the peanut version. Will we see it back on the menu soon?

A real treat! Fresh, local produce. Special mention for the tian with candied summer vegetables. Delicious and excellent desserts. Quick and very pleasant service.

Absolutely loved it and delicious!

There were three of us. The service was very quick and the lady was very pleasant. Unfortunately, we wanted to try the cinnamon rolls, but they were sold out. The banana-chocolate-coconut muffin was delicious, very chocolatey, the banana was perfectly soft, and the coconut was subtle enough not to overpower, but present enough to enjoy. The peanut butter cookie was also delicious. The coffees were also delicious. The plant-based option, although it's a shame it costs extra, isn't overpriced and it's very good. You can choose between oat and soy. Finally, I'd say the portions are decent, but it would have been great if they were a bit more generous! That said, it's very nice to see a café offering so many plant-based options, and the atmosphere is more than pleasant. It's a great find.

Very friendly. Quiet place with natural products. Delicious fresh juices. The cinnamon roll is a standout. Everything was delicious, but in our opinion, the prices are excessive: a coffee with milk and a pastry cost €8.

"Cafés are not offices." Albertine is one of those charming and cozy places. A very good and beautiful little café. The pastries, the drinks, and the staff—everything was perfect for us, and we will definitely be back! Perhaps one less pleasant thought. It's become commonplace these days for customers to come and work in places like small cafés. What a nightmare. What a stifling atmosphere they create. A café is first and foremost a place for living and enjoying life. All those people who don't speak or who think they're in their offices. Cafés are not offices. Support charming places like Albertine instead of monopolizing the space for hours to send three pointless emails. Excuse me for being so blunt, but when you love something, you want to preserve places like this!

The atmosphere is very peaceful. The food is very good and the staff are pleasant.
