We are tourists and chose the place based on reviews on Google maps. At the entrance we were greeted by nice girls, basically shown to a table, told about the dish of the day in English: salad with beef and shrimp.
I decided to experiment and was pleasantly surprised: the salad was above all praise. At first the steak was rare, and I don’t eat such foods. I asked for it to be fried - no questions asked and it was done very quickly.
My husband is a very picky eater and eats a limited range of foods, so it was a pleasant surprise that even during the day you can snack on an omelet and add fries.
The cappuccino was delicious with chocolate sprinkles and beautiful presentation, although it was more expensive than the average for the establishments we visited: about 6+ euros
I can recommend it, everything is excellent: the food, the people, and the beautiful original interior.

So my wife and I repeated this restaurant and no doubts, the food here is really great.
In a gastronomic city that you might think Paris is; you might expect that the standards of their cuisine is great everywhere and guess; you will be lucky to find a restaurant like Les Telephones.
The first day my wife had the ravioli in a white creamy sauce and truffle oil that did not disappoint. I had the paté for appetizer and veal steak for main course, both were great and perfect donnes with my veal piece.
The second time we went back, my wife repeated her option, but I did order the Boeuf Bourguignon or beef casserole from their menu du jour.
It is to my understanding that laborious dishes like these requires a great deal of expertise to achieve this masterpiece. This delicious dish had a delicious hearty sauce with no lumps in it, great texture achieved in both, sauce and beef, this dish was perfectly made. In addition, this experience took me back in time to 1998 when I used to work for my french mentor in my early culinary career years; this was so impacting that I kept rolling my eyes for about 20 mins while I was enjoying every bite.
I had the honor to meet the Chef and congratulated him for such speciality.
This was a moment that I will never forget.
The service in the other hand, wasn't that great. I must admit that our two times waiter, let's say .... he kept forgeting a good couple of details; however, in the other hand, he had the best intentions and for the first time in Paris, this man, really made us feel truly truly welcome, in contrast to many of his counterparts whom or some, were very rude to us. His charming personality made us forgive and forget the unintended mistakes. The owner or manager was always checking out the flow of the restaurant. Thank you Chef for feeding my soul!
