A very friendly welcome, simple but good food at a price that beats the competition on the seafront. The decor is admittedly a little dated, but it gives it a cozy, homey feel, like Sunday lunch at Grandma's. Highly recommended.

A charming, old-fashioned restaurant/bar with a warm welcome. Unfortunately, since I didn't order mussels, I chose the sausage and fries. Disappointment! It was just a simple Knacki sausage when I was expecting something like a Maroilles sausage.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful experience! We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. The dishes were delicious, generous, and served promptly. The mussels were excellent: beautiful, very fresh, and above all, not a single grain of sand, which was much appreciated. A real treat! This is a wonderfully typical, authentic, and unpretentious place. It's not a "20-star" gourmet restaurant, but that's precisely what makes it so charming. I rediscovered the flavors and atmosphere of the food from my childhood—simple, home-style cooking, made with love. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You can tell the team does everything to ensure customers have a great time. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for authentic cuisine and a genuine welcome. Excellent mussels marinière. And above all, the kindness of the waiter and the entire team. The old-fashioned setting gives the impression of having lunch at the owner's home. 21/09/2026: Excellent brasserie with a very pleasant welcome and delicious food
06/09/2026: Staying in De Panne and craving mussels, which were prohibitively expensive on the Belgian side, we headed to our neighbors to enjoy these shellfish so in demand at this time of year. We chose "Brasserie des Flandres," no doubt influenced by our Belgian origins; we received a relatively warm welcome from the owner. Bonus point: the restaurant is pet-friendly, which was a welcome bonus given the dog we were traveling with. Once we received the menu, simple, unassuming, and unsurprising, we eagerly began our meal. I opted for the garlic and cream sauce. When the dishes arrived, the owner handed me my (steaming) pot, shouting "Watch out, it's hot!" and had the presence of mind to mock my precautions. All in all, some were small in size, but the quantity was there to sustain us, and that's the main thing, the norm in an establishment of this kind. That's why my opinion will also be normal.
