A place I often pass through to grab a coffee, but I've never taken the time to come for anything else. The coffee is excellent!

At Café de la Mairie, you'll find exactly what you expect from a well-run neighborhood brasserie: warmth, expertise, and honest food. From the moment you arrive, the welcome sets the tone. The waitstaff is attentive, available, and above all, naturally smiling—this seemingly simple detail makes all the difference. You feel listened to and valued, and it immediately creates a friendly, almost familial atmosphere, like those places that know how to cultivate customer loyalty without ever being pushy. As for the cuisine, the restaurant confidently embraces the flavors of the Auvergne region. The aligot is remarkable: silky texture, perfectly stretchy, generous without being heavy. The truffade has that rustic and indulgent character that is so pleasing—true regional cuisine, prepared with respect. Frankly, you quickly understand why this is considered one of the best aligot and truffade in Vincennes. Finally, the decor is charming and consistent: a pleasant, unpretentious brasserie with that little extra something that makes you want to linger. And behind it all, you can feel the hand of a chef who knows his classics and how to bring them to life: good, comforting Auvergne dishes, well-executed and served with heart. Verdict: a warm, gourmet, and authentic spot—the kind of place you return to as much for the food as for the atmosphere.

No complaints whatsoever, I highly recommend it. The welcome is warm, the food is excellent, and the portions are generous. We will definitely be back.
