05/08/2024: Damage!
A magnificent setting, good recipes with good products, the waiter was nice but the other waitress lacked professionalism (maybe an apprentice or a first job). We had various problems during the meal even though there must have been around 40 place settings spread out in the service (so not enough for 2 servers and a barmaid). In exchange the waiter was only able to offer a handful of blueberries...
It’s a shame for such a setting! The service was long and poorly organized, there was clearly a lack of a room manager to direct and help the servers, perhaps a lack of staff or a very recent team.
10 minutes after our arrival, 2-3L of water fell on me at once. Fortunately the phone or anything that fears water didn't take anything. The arbors were waterlogged, were not emptied after the downpour and with the wind everything fell on me. No excuses either, but the waitress didn't want us to empty the one behind in case the wind came back without telling us why, so already a bad start.
We order 3 aperitif boards for 4 people with our cocktails and ask for a bottle of red to open as soon as possible so that it airs and tempers (since red wine is served cold in this region). The waiter offers to bring it at the end of our drinks, which we finished before the boards. Besides, the plate of “smoked” fish with half of the products which do not seem smoked, it’s not very logical.
... Afterwards there is nothing to say about the quality of the products, it was very good!
Boards and glasses cleared but nothing to drink. On average 20min wait for water jugs. We had to ask 3 times for the bottle of red so that it arrived when 2 people had already finished their dishes...
In addition, delivery problems so missing products are sometimes not reported when ordering, the servers are not informed about certain things and do not even realize it when they bring the dishes because they do not know the menu. We had time to finish our dish to find out what was the source of the problem, so we asked to be offered the bottle or something else in return, which was refused. The waiter was able to negotiate a few blueberries with the barmaid, we'll say that's it, thank you.
Small digestion problems in the evening for all the guests... We still wonder why because everything seemed fresh and well cooked and we don't have fragile stomachs. I wouldn't be able to say whether or not I recommend the establishment given our experience!
