Café de l'Hotel de Ville sur Espalion

09/08/2026: On the road to Aurillac, before Espalion, this tobacconist/restaurant is truly excellent. The owner cooks everything from scratch. You'll enjoy a delicious meal at a very reasonable price: starter, main course, and dessert for around twenty euros. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

09/08/2026: We stopped at this little roadside restaurant, just before Espalion. It doesn't look like much, but it's very generous, serving traditional regional dishes, excellent homemade food at very affordable prices. The owners are super friendly. It's a must-try if you want to sample Aveyron cuisine and specialties: stuffed cabbage, farçous (a type of savory pancake), Aubrac beef... There's no menu, but they offer a complete daily set menu. A real treat for the taste buds and especially for your stomach! A word of advice: don't eat lunch beforehand, because the portions are substantial and filling. :-)
