Very friendly welcome, fresh and homemade products, I recommend this place

A whole chapter of Châteauroux's history is held within this café, which has been taken over and beautifully renovated. A true institution and showcase of downtown Châteauroux, the food is very good, even if a little pricey at times. The terrace is THE place to go to see and be seen in our beloved city. New in June 2026: a Brunch menu has been introduced at the end of June 2026 (see photo), well done!

I was on vacation in the city and Café Paris is a lovely place. It's ideal for meeting people, chatting, and having a good time on their large terrace. The service was excellent and fast. The waiters were very professional.

Prices are skyrocketing, the staff is never the same, they're unresponsive, you have to wait 30 minutes before being served... unfortunately, the place isn't what it used to be.

When we arrived, there was no greeting; all the servers walked right past us without speaking, creating a frosty atmosphere. The order-taking process with Asena was frightening. He only brought us half our order. And he repeatedly asked us for our drinks... there were only two of us... Fortunately, the food was good, and the regulars were there to bring some warmth to this brasserie; otherwise, there was no team spirit, and the coldness between them was palpable. I would like to thank a young, blonde, blue-eyed employee who was very kind. Despite everything, I found the atmosphere better last summer. Don't avoid this restaurant; it does have many good qualities, and the staff changes frequently. And a big plus for the very good food.
