It's wonderful to find simple, generous cuisine here, unpretentious yet very reasonably priced. In a city that goes to extremes in everything, it's a haven of common sense and good intentions; I'll definitely be back.

Amazing food, local and like nonna’s food, but French version. Very fair prices, cheap for French standards. Friendly service. Couldn’t take the pic of the dish bc it was too delicious.

The closest to American diner heaven you can find in France 😍 — A real locals’ hangout, great lunch specials, hard-working and friendly staff, reasonably priced and not pretentious at all. In the pretty town of Aix-en-Provence, a few steps away from the touristy streets allowed us to discover this authentic restaurant where people jostle to eat the daily special. A warm welcome from the owner, with his words, leaves no doubt: you've entered an establishment where they love to please you. Thank you.

22/02/2026: While the service was impeccable, the food was questionable. The meats (fat-free duck breast and duck leg) were very dry and lacked any real flavor, overwhelmed by industrial sauces and excessive seasoning. The side dishes seemed to have been left out in the warm for too long, completely ruining the quality of the ingredients.
16/02/2026: Thank you for a wonderful time, excellent food and very pleasant, family-style service. Thank you again!

Grand Hôtel Roi René

29/03/2026: Spent two nights here as part of a Viking tour. Was not impressed with the quality of the dinner meal but the breakfast was overwhelming The rooms are newly decorated quite contemporary and there are views of the surrounding streets. Takes some time to figure out the lighting and the major option is no lights on at bedtime. They had problems using my credit card that they blamed on the machine but the next morning the machine still would not accept my card that had been used during our entire trip. Luckily my wife had her card that worked.
28/03/2026: A beautifully renovated hotel right in the city center, close to public transport, and a caring and attentive staff. I had a very pleasant stay.
