I have been eating there every week for several years now and I have never been disappointed. The managers are very friendly, the food is very good and inexpensive (compared to the town hall square or Cours Mirabeau). You can eat inside or out without any worries and the service is very fast.

All the staff are super friendly and the cuisine has a choice of daily specials and it's real, good cuisine. We will definitely come back next year when we are in Aix

Un restaurant sympa, avec une belle ambiance et un personnel convivial. On le ressent immédiatement. Dans le détail de ce que j'ai mangé, j'ai apprécié mes frites maison. Toutefois, c'est tout. Ma pièce de viande était trop cuite. Et ma bière en pression, une Kro ou une 1664, qui sont des bières que je n'aime pas. Alors pourquoi un 3/5 ? Eh bien j'ai le sentiment que c'était simplement un mauvais échantillon. Si j'avais pris autre chose, j'aurais sûrement beaucoup plus apprécié.

Un service souriant joyeux rapide autour d un très bon tartare frite et d’une bonne crème brûlée je recommande sans hésiter

29/08/2024: We were expecting a traditional restaurant and in the end there was a brasserie side. We were very well received, we ate very well for cheap and the service was very pleasant. I recommend 👍
31/07/2024: We stumbled across this establishment on The Fork, and I noticed it was a short walk from our hotel, right outside of the main tourist district. We were unsure when we arrived, as it had a "locals" vibe, but a server welcomed us at the bar door when we poked our heads in, and we were seated outside. We started with the Charcuterie Board, then shared the Caesar's Salad, and finished with Beef Tartare and Pasta Carbonara. It was way too much food! We had several glasses of Rose along the way, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. Everything was delicious, the pricing was great, and our server was very pleasant. If you want to get out of the tourist bubble, you won't be disappointed here!

La Paillote

28/09/2024: We organized a reunion with friends and it was a great experience at La Paillote de Damien. Darts games, aperitif, high quality meals, very quiet atmosphere to finish with a game of pétanque. We took great care to allow us to have a great time. Thanks to the entire La Paillote by Damien team.
27/09/2024: While passing through Aix we found this restaurant ideally located with many parking spaces available. We were very well received and had a pleasant time. The service was very pleasant and fast, the meat (rib steak) a delight and the pizzas a real treat! Don't hesitate, the setting is very nice.
