Always a warm welcome, whether for lunch or a refreshing drink on the terrace. The cuisine isn't gourmet, but it's home-style cooking with fresh ingredients; you'll leave happy with your meal. The owner and servers work hard, much to the delight of the customers. A reliable address that I highly recommend in Lyons-la-Forêt.

Perfect welcome, friendly with a smile, humor with the waiter, perfect place, a small drawback is that it is located in the center of the village, which is a bit of a hassle for parking and the road that passes close to the square where you breathe in a bit of exhaust fumes... But the place is cute, flowery, and pleasing to the eye.

We cannot judge the food, sugar-free cola and a coffee, nice terrace in a charming little village.

A very pretty, flower-filled terrace. We came for ice cream and a drink. Unfortunately, the waitress was unfriendly 😩

I came here with my grandparents' hiking group. The staff is friendly, the setting is pleasant, and the food is good. It's not their first time here; they seem to enjoy it, and that's perfectly understandable.

La Licorne Royale

08/07/2026: This is a fantastic place. One of the most beautiful villages in france, with a lot of history and a charming beautifully renovated old hotel, with easy parking and even with pool and spa in another building. Also, with a top class restaurant serving very delicious dining. Very nice and helpful staff. Highly recommended
28/03/2026: I booked a weekend with the spa, dinner, and overnight package. The place is very charming, located in a pretty village. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant, dinner was delicious, and the room was very nice. We had a wonderful stay.

Le Bistrot Du Grand Cerf

02/10/2026: Beautiful setting, perfect welcome and service, and excellent food!! From appetizer to dessert, a wonderful discovery, I highly recommend it 😊
13/09/2026: A wonderful bistronomic discovery. While staying at the hotel, we decided to dine in for dinner. The starter was a samosa with a lassi, sublime in its simplicity and flavor. The main course was slow-cooked Bray chicken with a delicious sauce and fresh pea leaf purée—simple yet perfectly executed. For dessert, soft and crispy French toast with warm white grapes and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream was a delight. The generous portion was a perfect way to end the meal. All of this was accompanied by a perfectly paired carafe of Chardonnay. In short, I highly recommend it, especially for €75.
