I really wanted to like this place considering all of the positive reviews. The atmosphere is great although in a modern shopping area and service was also very good in spite of a few extra items added to our bill which was corrected. The food unfortunately fell short of what you can expect in a traditional bouchon. The quality and flavor was lacking compared to other bouchon visited over several days in the city. If I had friends or family visiting, I would not recommend this place or consider returning myself. I’m sure there are worse places, but definitely better options if you have a reservation. If you are stuck with no reservation…well, this spot will be acceptable.

In the professional context, I brought together 17 financial directors from the 4 corners of Europe. Objective achieved and which will remain in the minds of a moment of conviviality in a timeless setting, homemade Lyonnaise cuisine which exudes tradition. A boss who reveals the origins of the Bouchon, the Pot, the Cervelle de Canut, not to mention a cellar which is displayed on a wine list on several pages, nor the digeots whose guests no longer know which one takes precedence over the previous ones... this morning during a work session, the eyelids were heavy and the head was still a little towards the Jura..

The food is certainly of high quality but I believe it can only be fully appreciated if you come from outside Europe. The similarities between the various Mediterranean countries make an experience less magical that certainly offers much more to completely different realities.
While on the one hand I was deeply satisfied, on the other the place suffers from some small shortcomings, which are not serious but which create slight inconveniences.
The service for example, with particular reference to water delivery, leaves something to be desired. Finding yourself interrupting the meal to hope to catch the eye of a super busy waiter to have the small jug refilled for the umpteenth time slowly demolishes the evening.

J'avais déjà testé le Jura, institution lyonnaise en terme de Bouchon, il y a une dizaine d'années. J'en avais surtout gardé le souvenir d'un accueil rugueux et n'y étais pas retourné depuis.
Il y a quelques mois, changement de propriétaire, et transition pleinement réussie ! Même personnel en cuisine, donc on reste sur les mets qui ont fait le succès de l'endroit, mais on retrouve en plus une convivialité en salle, certes moins typique que la traditionnelle gouaille lyonnaise, mais personnellement je préfère !
On reste sur des menus un peu chers, comme dans la plupart des bouchons réputés, mais la qualité est là et on passe un très bon moment.

Quelle joie que de se retrouver autour d’un bon Saint Joseph. Bouchon authentique. Une cuisine du pays. Pâté en croute, andouillette, tarte à praline. L’accompagnement de l’andouillette a été re—visité acec son gratin dans une feuille de brick. Ainsi que la tarte à la praline avec sa glace à la barbe à papa.
