Café du Midi sur Mauguio

Excellent meal at a very good price. All served with kindness. Far from being a tourist trap, highly recommended.

It started off well… we ordered a sangria and a pint of beer… it was during the Romaria festival, so they were serving in plastic cups. The sangria was served in a 30cl glass with fruit. We ordered a second round, this time two sangrias which arrived in much smaller glasses… 20cl each, and full of fruit! I pointed out to the waiter that there must have been a mistake with the glass and showed him my first sangria… he told me that he wasn't the one working the bar and that I should go complain inside! Which I did… and then they told me that the bartender had used the wrong glass the first time, that I was lucky, and that I shouldn't complain… except to the owner, of course, who was nowhere to be seen! It's unacceptable to treat your customers like that… especially local ones! This place should be banned!

Absolutely delicious! Kudos to the whole team, especially the chefs... we thoroughly enjoyed the pork loin. The quality/price ratio is unbeatable compared to other restaurants. Only fresh ingredients, prepared with care! We'll definitely be back!
