An exceptional place, both for the richness of its collections and for its Zen architecture that aspires to serenity.

I first visited this museum in 1983. It was a real treat to visit again. A beautiful building and site brimming with wonderful Modern Art. Every time you look out a window or turn a corner there's one more intriguing piece of art to discover.

What a magnificent place! Once you step inside, you're struck by the tranquility, the garden with its majestic pines, its lawns, the birdsong, and the artworks that blend perfectly into the whole. What a contrast to the endless roundabouts, shopping centers, ugly buildings, and cars parked haphazardly along the road from Antibes! The paintings and sculptures are breathtakingly beautiful; you're delighted to take your time and soak them in. You leave the Maeght Foundation with a joyful heart and mind. €18 well spent, nourishing you far more, better, and for longer than the numerous dives along the coast that often offer frustration for the same price!

A very beautiful museum nestled in the greenery just outside the town. Free parking is available at the entrance and 100 meters away, accessible by a path through the woods. Admission is €18, and free for minors. It may seem like a lot, but it's worth the visit, both for the location and the artworks on display, and also for the opportunity to purchase original works in the bookshop, not only reprints, but also works with prices ranging from €200 to €20,000—no small feat, something I've seen in very few museums. A well-kept garden with many works on display, especially by Miró. Inside, the spaces are spacious and well-arranged, with countless works. The view from the terrace is very beautiful. Very friendly staff. For children, they also provide a play brochure with a pencil at the entrance, and there's a special tour. Well done.

It's impossible to visit the region without stopping by the Maeght Foundation. One of the most beautiful cultural sites in the world, both for the perfect architecture of Josep Lluis Sert and for the lush nature and sublime view over the valley and the Mediterranean.

A must-see! Naturally, it's very crowded, even in the dead of winter. A timeless place with spacious exhibition areas showcasing the artworks. A beautifully maintained garden with many works by Miró. Parking tip: P2 is recommended, located 10 minutes from the entrance.

The architecture of the Fondation Maeght is beautiful, with a distinctive modernist style that blends concrete, stone, and open spaces. The outdoor areas are particularly impressive, with stunning views, and sculptures thoughtfully placed throughout the grounds. Inside, the foundation hosts a rich collection of works by major 20th-century artists, including Miró, Giacometti, Chagall, and Braque. Miró is the most represented, with several paintings and numerous sculptures displayed both indoors and in the garden. Considering that museums in the south of France usually charge around €5–8, the €18 entrance fee feels a bit high. However, you can use the parking area to leave your car and then walk to visit the old town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. I visited it in December, it was more crowded than I expected.. I can’t imagine in the summer 😅 Go early!

Toile Blanche

10/03/2026: I went to La Toile Blanche for a romantic dinner. The place is splendid, welcoming, and warm. We couldn't imagine such a place in this location. It's very intimate. The staff is very professional. The menu offers something for everyone, and the dishes are beautiful and very refined. I will gladly return to try the rooms, which I think hold some wonderful surprises...
26/02/2026: We recently stayed at Hotel Toile Blanche for five nights in February (off-season), and overall it was a wonderful experience. The accommodations were excellent, stylish, thoughtfully designed, and immaculately clean. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and clearly curated with great attention to detail. Even in the quieter season, everything felt well maintained and carefully presented. The restaurant was exceptional and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced it was given the quality. The menu was creative and refined, and the wine selection was obviously carefully chosen, excellent with many reasonably priced options. As expected in February, some amenities were limited. The smaller restaurant and bar were closed, and the pools were not heated. That was understandable given the time of year. Our only (minor) complaint was the limited guest services once checked in. There is no phone in the room, so the only way to reach someone is to go and physically find a staff member or call the main number from your mobile phone. Unfortunately, the mobile network signal for our overseas phone was quite weak and intermittent. On several occasions, when we called the main number, it was not answered. Additionally, the Wi-Fi in our room (B2) was somewhat unstable, and particularly earlier in the day was unusable. That said, we would absolutely recommend staying at Hotel Toile Blanche, and definitely try dining at the restaurant. Just be aware that if you visit during the off-season, guest services are quite limited, so it helps to be prepared to be somewhat self sufficient after check in. Overall, a beautiful, stylish retreat with outstanding dining, we would happily return, and likely will.
