Café Français sur Saint-Amour

We discovered this restaurant today, and it was absolutely fantastic! Don't miss it if you're in the area. The welcome and service were excellent (thank you, Agnès, for this wonderful experience). We tried both the set menu and the à la carte menu, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and variety. The decor was original, and the place was spotless... in short, a very pleasant and surprising find at this price. There were four of us, and we didn't have to wait at all. The atmosphere and human interaction were great, and we enjoyed lunch on the sunny terrace at the end of February! Definitely go!

Top-notch café/restaurant! You'll be greeted with a smile. A buffet-style starter, meat or fish, fries or vegetables, and dessert for 16 euros – what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

A true village café, just the way we like them! I had the pleasure of hosting several karaoke nights at Café Français in 2025, and it was always a joy. The owners are incredibly welcoming: professional, attentive, and always in good spirits. You can tell they love their work and their customers. The atmosphere is friendly, the regulars are welcoming to newcomers, and the evenings always unfold in a wonderfully convivial atmosphere. The setting is vintage and authentic. Passing through Saint Amour, I stopped at Café Français. Warm atmosphere, excellent food, very good value for money.

We regret that your visit to our establishment did not leave you with a good impression. We attach great importance to hospitality, respect, and the quality of our interactions with all our customers. We would like to point out, however, that the situation you describe does not reflect reality. Your behavior towards our team, and more specifically towards one of our employees whom you disrespectfully addressed because of his hair color, was unacceptable. We therefore had to intervene to maintain respect and serenity in our dining room. It is also regrettable to publish a negative review when you ultimately did not eat there. We remain open to constructive discussion, based on mutual respect.
