Café Français sur Saint-Amour

A very friendly lady from Lyon, lots of laughs and the food is excellent! The place is beautiful, I highly recommend it!

I stopped by chance in the village of Saint Amour for lunch. Agnès warmly welcomed me to a cozy setting that allowed me to disconnect for a while from the hustle and bustle of life. The home-style cooking was good and very reasonably priced. I ended up settling comfortably into an armchair to enjoy the moment and drink my coffee in peace before continuing my journey.

Everything is perfect. Raphaël's service is excellent, efficient, and friendly. We will be back.

We are here twice when we visit Saint-Amour - once for dinner and once for lunch. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices for good food. It seems like a locals place so that added a convivial feel to the restaurant.

A Parisian-style brasserie, a relaxing place to enjoy delicious food while listening to Aznavour, Brassens, and Brel – a real pleasure. Our waitress was lovely; we shared a great sense of humor and appreciated her quick wit. 😊 The price-quality ratio is excellent. Perfect for a group of motorcyclists touring the area.

A restaurant with decor that has retained the authenticity of the place! Right in the heart of the village! We happened to have lunch there on Mother's Day! Each mother received a small fan, and the special menu was excellent! The two waitresses were incredibly friendly and welcoming! We'll gladly return to this place during our next stay in the Jura region!

Unfortunately, we arrived 1.5 hours before the restaurant closed. They still had one beer, but no cake or other food (dessert). The information we received was "Close/Finished." This refusal was delivered to us in a very unfriendly manner (across three tables). We're rather disappointed, as we've been to the town several times while passing through with our campervan. We probably won't visit again, as lovely as the name and surroundings are. A real shame. Update after the owner's response: I've adjusted the number of stars. Thank you for the feedback! That certainly explains why there was no food left. We're also sorry that we don't speak your language; things would have been quite different. We were here about two years ago, and a young man who spoke English was there. That's how we know the story behind the seating. It was a very pleasant stay, which is why we were so disappointed yesterday. But now we know the reasons behind it, thank you!
