Cafe Francais sur Laguiole

Excellent value for money. Passing through Laguiole and stopping for a quick meal. I had the €17 set menu and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The meat was very good. The staff were very friendly. A delightful, gourmet, and convivial experience, although the restaurant's appearance is a bit dated, which adds to its charm. Well done and thank you. Bonus: dogs are welcome.

Pleasantly surprised. It's certainly an old-fashioned brasserie, but for the price of the set menu, the food is good and the flavors are there. And the waitress, Marie-Hélène, is friendly.

It's good, it's inexpensive, a simple but generous menu; I had a steak and it was nicely seared. The waiter, Yvan, is very friendly.

Arrived at the last minute on a Monday at 2:00 PM, a great meal for 5 people. We received a warm welcome, no unpleasantness whatsoever. The traditional and simple cuisine was more than adequate for a small brasserie. I highly recommend it!

It's a real shame to have such an unfriendly waiter who never smiled. I'm sorry to be a tourist and to support local businesses.

A €17 set menu, with a steak as a main course, a charcuterie starter, and inexpensive red wine by the carafe: fantastic! The meat was fabulous, it melted in your mouth. The waitress, Marie Hélène, was charming. Friendly atmosphere. I'm delighted!!!

Only stopped for a drink and happy we didn’t spend anymore money there, the proprietor had an unwelcoming attitude, almost sarcastic in his greeting, the coffee mediocre and 3.40€ each.

I regularly go to this little restaurant. I'm quite surprised to read such negative reviews; they don't reflect my experience. While it's certainly not the Tour d'Argent, it's a perfectly respectable little restaurant, rather well-run. The prices are very reasonable, and we always receive a friendly welcome. It's also worth mentioning that we're not grumpy or condescending like some people who arrive from their big cities and think they're better than everyone else. I maintain that it's a good little restaurant; the food is plentiful and tasty. What more could you ask for?

We had lunch at this restaurant with my partner and daughter. We received a warm welcome and were seated quickly. The charcuterie appetizer was good, as was the meat. It's a shame the fries weren't homemade with decent meat, and the chocolate mousse was clearly store-bought. It had been recommended to us as very good, but I don't entirely agree.
