Cafe Le Petit Paris sur Mont-Dore

Discovered thanks to "it's better when it's good"... the gratinéed pork loin with Saint-Nectaire cheese and the shredded lamb were divine, and what can I say about the chocolate mousse with a siphon... a delight of incomparable lightness. Impeccable service... Top-notch across the board.

Here, you shouldn't be in a hurry, and the owner makes that clear from the moment you walk in: if you're looking for rushed service and fawning, look elsewhere. Her tone is direct and unfiltered, but she can certainly afford to be, given what comes out of the kitchen. The portions are incredibly generous, delicious, homemade, and the value for money is unbeatable. As the meal progresses, the armor melts away: a touch of irony takes over, witty banter is exchanged with plenty of humor, and her recommendations for the menu are impeccable. You end up putting the world to rights, discussing life, and genuinely laughing. A truly unique and characterful place, the kind you rarely find. Go there without a watch and with a smile. Don't even read the negative reviews!

A very, very good dinner with friends. We ordered four different courses and all were delicious! A warm welcome from the owner and her staff. A great place to eat something other than the ubiquitous truffade!

Incredible, it has everything: the setting is magnificent, you could almost believe you were in Montmartre in the 1920s! The menu is small, with classic and original dishes, fresh, seasonal produce, and above all, delicious food! Add to that the owner, who has a wonderful and strong personality. In short, we had a truly lovely evening. Thank you.

A very friendly atmosphere at this little bistro! We enjoyed the most decadent truffade ever. 😉 We recommend this place, but it's only for serious foodies!

Everything is perfect...from the decor to the food on the plate. A magnificent place where you step back in time. We thoroughly enjoyed the slow-cooked lamb shoulder and the desserts. Thank you for the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

(+) Excellent local cuisine (not particularly Parisian) made with very good ingredients. The waitresses are welcoming and very knowledgeable about the dishes. (-) Vegetarians won't go hungry, but they'll have very limited options.
