I have rarely experienced such a warm welcome as at this restaurant. The lady who greeted us was charming and very welcoming; she clearly knew her stuff when describing the dishes. The food was delicious; we ordered the ravioli and the beef skewers. We called ahead because we were arriving a bit late, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The wine selection is very reasonably priced, and the terrace and setting are lovely. I highly recommend it!

Recommended by another restaurant, we discovered Le Petit Paris in Mont-Dore… and what a delightful surprise! A timeless, warm, and authentic place, with an absolutely wonderful, attentive, and passionate manager. As for the food, it was a pure delight from start to finish: flavorful, generous dishes, prepared with care. It's the kind of place we love to find and will treasure. We will definitely be back!

There were six of us, and we all ordered almost different dishes. Everything was excellent. A special mention for the shredded lamb on mashed potatoes... Absolutely divine. The value for money was really good, and the service was very pleasant. I hope we'll have the opportunity to return.

This place reminds me of my youth. The restaurant has old-fashioned decor, the waitress was smiling, and the owner, yes madam, I'm wide awake! We had a good laugh, the food was very good, and the team was great. Thank you for this lovely time.

Auberge de la Golmotte

15/06/2026: We discovered the Auberge de la Golmotte during our holiday in Mont Dore and had a very pleasant time. We opted for the à la carte menu. The foie gras with homemade gingerbread was generous and excellent. The plates were also beautiful to look at, sprinkled with garden pea leaves – a delightful culinary discovery. The scallop dish was truly succulent with a shallot sauce and various equally delicious side dishes. Mashed potatoes, ratatouille, and candied carrots with their tops, while not groundbreaking, were also perfect in terms of both cooking and seasoning. As for dessert, the homemade pear sorbet and the praline chocolate crisp were simply divine! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of high quality. The service is discreet yet friendly, and the serenity of this restaurant contributes to making the meal a truly delightful experience. Thank you to the chef and thank you to the waitress. We will return on our next stay in Mont Dore.

30/05/2026: A short but very relaxing stay, a warm welcome, and thank you to the chef for the delicious meal.
29/05/2026: A very nice hotel. It only has 3 stars, but it's worth more thanks to the staff, the very comfortable rooms, the swimming pool with its terrace, and the breakfast (don't miss Maria's homemade crepes, which are actually "msemen" for those who know them). Ideally located for starting hikes (by bike or on foot). I stayed there for 5 days and, from what I've seen in Mont Dore, this hotel is, in my opinion, the best in the area. No hesitation needed.
