Cafe Le Vermont sur Le Grand-Bornand

We spontaneously booked a ski trip to France and found this gem. We love how spacious, clean, and lovely our room was. 10/10 for the European wooden chalet vibes. Everyone we have met at the hotel has been more than kind to us. The wooden structure is not 100% sound proof, but it’s very quiet at night and we slept quite comfortably. The spa, and the sauna is a big plus after a full day of skiing. We felt so relaxed. The breakfast was home made and full of delicious baked goods and other yummy options. Good to get the carbs in before hitting the slope. The location is prime, we were able to find parking easily and plenty of food options around town. Most of the staff speak good English, but I am especially grateful for the receptionists bearing with me as I try to get my French verbal skills back, a lot of the times people realized you are not a native speaker and they just switch to English, but I appreciate the practice and the patience of people speaking French. We would love to return next year, well done to l’équipe Le Vermont!!!

Everything is perfect in this family hotel. The welcome was very pleasant. The service is quality and the staff are at customer service. Always a smile and good humor. We enjoyed the jacuzzi/sauna area and the heated swimming pool despite the cool temperatures. The breakfast is simply excellent with a multitude of homemade dishes. The location near the ski lifts is pleasant. Ski locker, parking space… everything was perfect. The quality of a 4 star for the price of a 3. We recommend it and we will come back without a doubt.

Top hotel that deserves 4 stars! The owners and staff take great care of their customers. The room is very good: storage provided, very good bedding, functional bathroom, all in a Savoyard style. The wellness area allows you to enjoy a heated outdoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna after skiing. The hotel was full and yet we were able to take advantage of all the facilities every day. The location allows you to go skiing without worrying about parking because everything is provided right next to the hotel. A ski locker is also available. We booked directly in order to benefit from the best rate after having spotted it on booking. So everyone wins, the customer and the hotel owners. For those with discerning tastes, everything is homemade for breakfast, the bread is delicious, the croissants, the scrambled eggs. We stayed 6 days and every day the breakfast was different. The proximity of the city center allows you to get there on foot (we did not move our vehicle during the stay) For eco-conscious people, no plastic samples in the rooms but a shower gel dispenser. The all-homemade breakfast avoids creating unnecessary waste. In the wellness area, homemade infusion available. To conclude, a 3 star hotel which is well worth a 4 star at a fair price. Don’t hesitate, this is the hotel you should stay in.

We spent two nights in this quiet, well-located hotel with a top-notch, friendly and welcoming team. Really pretty decoration of the hotel, between wood and modern. Heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi at the top. Decent breakfast To discover or rediscover!

Very good hotel. Next to the lifts, near the village. A spa after skiing....nickel!! Super nice staff!!

How to say !!! Everything very good. Located less than 5 minutes walk from the lifts and shuttles. A warm welcome and the hotel was very clean. A very well appointed SPA, swimming pool and sona complex. A top breakfast. No problem parking nearby. What happiness! 😉

What a magnificent hotel. The “mountain chalet” decoration is warm and neat. Our room had a view of the snowy peaks with a beautiful balcony. The spa is also very beautiful and it feels so good to relax in the jacuzzi after a day of sport. The warm welcome from the owner and his team, always smiling, made us love this hotel even more. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You can taste lots of good homemade products. Vermont is a superb address for a stay in Grand Bornant. In addition, the hotel is well located because it is at the foot of the cable cars. We'll come back to that.

Globalement, le séjour s’est bien passé mais je trouve qu’il est un peu cher. Piscine à l’extérieur pas assez chauffée à mon sens, jacuzzi accessible que pendant un créneau de 15 min par chambre par jour. Sauna assez bien mais pas assez chaud. Le petit dej est à 16€ (je pense pour ce qu’il propose c’est un peu cher). Place de Parking disponible mais payante alors une place à côté (quelques mètres est gratuite) or tout ça ce n’est pas indiqué quand on réserve (on découvre un peu les prix sur place). Les chambres pour 4 personnes c’est un peu serré pour passer et prendre les escaliers. Sinon, la déco est sympa mais attention la pièce n’est pas assez bien isolée (on entend ce qu’il se passe ailleurs les chambres à côté ou l’extérieur. C’est bien à côté des pistes (Rosay), vous avez des casiers pas loin pour stocker vos matériels pendant votre séjour (10€/jour).
