But next to them, another person was very cold and almost unpleasant. So, a mixed bag, but very good overall.

26/09/2026: A very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow: a single person seemed to be handling orders, service, and payment, resulting in a very long wait. We came specifically to eat fondue, and unfortunately, it really didn't live up to our expectations. It's a shame because the setting is very pretty, and the place had everything to make for a pleasant experience. In the end, between the interminable wait and the poor quality of the fondue, we left very disappointed. Better service organization would make a real difference.

22/09/2026: A chalet with a stunning view, a large and comfortable terrace, a beautifully decorated dining room (featuring an exhibition of paintings by a local artist), and high-quality, generously portioned, and attractively presented food. All this with genuinely friendly staff. On-site parking is available.

08/04/2026: I spent one night at the hotel with my two children. The reception was very friendly and accommodating. The room was quite small, but perfectly adequate for one night. Unfortunately, the shower drain wasn't working properly, which made it a bit difficult when three of us wanted to shower together. Perhaps that should be looked into. We had to book breakfast separately, but we knew that from the start. The buffet was ample and good. There was really nothing lacking. The service was also very good. Overall, we were satisfied.

07/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Les Alpgaes. The location is ideal, just steps from the slopes, with the option to walk there. The view is also beautiful. The room had everything you need for a good, quiet night's sleep. Finally, the welcome was excellent.

Our celebration was a resounding success, held in a charming, intimate setting with a mountain-inspired decor. 31/05/2026: An extraordinary experience last night. We booked the restaurant privately for Cath & Phiphi. The service was absolutely top-notch, with smiles, attentiveness to the children, and the food was simply superb. I've never eaten such tender and delicious veal in 38 years... From appetizer to dessert, it was fantastic. THANK YOU!

25/08/2026: A family lunch that was a complete success. The setting, to begin with, is a charming, authentic local farmhouse nestled amidst hiking and biking trails. The view over the Bouchet Valley is absolutely stunning. A small play area for children near the tables is perfect for keeping an eye on them! The food was just as we like it: simple, very convivial, and above all, full of flavor—it truly captures the essence of the region. We even ordered a teen menu for our daughter. The service was fantastic: quick, with a clear and easy-to-read menu and a helpful explanation from the waitress. One last word… Thank you!! Thank you for this peaceful break in the mountains. 23/03/2026: A true inn in the heart of the mountains. An old farmhouse dating back to the early 1800s, it's simply magnificent, perched high above the valley with its terrace. The view is breathtaking. Inside, you'll find all the warmth and authenticity of a traditional wooden building. The upper floor is reserved for guest rooms. The rooms are cozy. Each room has its own bathroom. Animal hides are everywhere. In short, we were very comfortable. Even the staircase leading up to it takes you along a waterfall. In short, a little corner of the mountains that you won't forget.

The view is breathtaking, each dish is a journey for the taste buds, and the welcome is as warm as it is sincere. You can feel the passion in each plate, fresh products enhanced with talent and creativity. I envy those who live nearby and can go there regularly... it's an address we would like to keep secret, but which deserves to be known to everyone.

26/08/2026: For the past four summers, we've been coming to Le Grand Bornand-le Chinaillon, and each time we visit Le Dérapage, several times during our stay, and we're never disappointed! A cozy and elegant restaurant, with a lively bar next door. Live concerts are regularly held on the terrace, making summer evenings truly magical. It's a family-run establishment, evident in its warm welcome and impeccable service, as well as its cuisine. Indeed, the menu offers—in addition to dishes made with quality local products—dishes from Italy, the country of origin of the owners. Classic dishes (Savoyard fondue, tartiflette, etc.) and original creations (Nduja risotto with prawns: an explosion of flavor!), all perfectly prepared, generous, and delicious. Not to mention the refined and flavorful homemade desserts; we opted for an Affogato al Caffè, drizzled with amaretto: the perfect ending to an excellent meal. Whether for an intimate dinner with gourmet dishes or for a relaxed drink accompanied by platters, Dérapage is an unmissable address to spend a pleasant time with family and/or friends.
