20/08/2026: Excellent meal! Magnificent setting: a lovely chalet with a breathtaking view. Delicious food, good local produce, and very reasonable prices. And on top of all that, incredibly friendly service from the manager and her adorable daughter. We'll definitely be back next year!

20/08/2026: Wow, go for it without hesitation! The portions are generous, the owners and staff are super friendly, and the setting is magnificent. This is the place to be in Le Grand Bornand!! We had a wonderful time, thank you! Jérôme (Albert Dupontel 😁) and Mélanie.

25/08/2026: Family dinner. The food was excellent and we had a very pleasant time. The selection of Savoy wines allowed us to discover two real gems. It's an incident with the service that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. We took our order in advance by phone to allow us to plan ahead, which was fine in principle. However, the starter wasn't what we had ordered. The waiter then insisted he was right, that his order was correct, and that we had all made a mistake collectively (there were nine of us!). Not a word of apology and absolutely no humility! If we weren't on vacation and looking to spend an evening with family, you would have had nine €60 menus on your hands! I thank our waitress who took over for the rest of the meal...

08/04/2026: I spent one night at the hotel with my two children. The reception was very friendly and accommodating. The room was quite small, but perfectly adequate for one night. Unfortunately, the shower drain wasn't working properly, which made it a bit difficult when three of us wanted to shower together. Perhaps that should be looked into. We had to book breakfast separately, but we knew that from the start. The buffet was ample and good. There was really nothing lacking. The service was also very good. Overall, we were satisfied.

07/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Les Alpgaes. The location is ideal, just steps from the slopes, with the option to walk there. The view is also beautiful. The room had everything you need for a good, quiet night's sleep. Finally, the welcome was excellent.

03/06/2026: We booked the entire restaurant for a family celebration, and we commend Jérôme, Alexandre, and their whole team for their professionalism. They were all very attentive to our needs and tailored the event to our specific requirements. The meal prepared by Jérôme was delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. Our celebration was a resounding success, held in a charming, intimate setting with a mountain-inspired decor. We are delighted with the service at Le Chamois and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Thank you again.

31/05/2026: An extraordinary experience last night. We booked the restaurant privately for Cath & Phiphi. The service was absolutely top-notch, with smiles, attentiveness to the children, and the food was simply superb. I've never eaten such tender and delicious veal in 38 years... From appetizer to dessert, it was fantastic. THANK YOU!

23/03/2026: A true inn in the heart of the mountains. An old farmhouse dating back to the early 1800s, it's simply magnificent, perched high above the valley with its terrace. The view is breathtaking. Inside, you'll find all the warmth and authenticity of a traditional wooden building. The upper floor is reserved for guest rooms. The rooms are cozy. Each room has its own bathroom. Animal hides are everywhere. In short, we were very comfortable. Even the staircase leading up to it takes you along a waterfall. In short, a little corner of the mountains that you won't forget.

23/03/2026: Okay, I admit I mainly go there for one of their "specialties": banana rum 😉 and I'm even willing to go out of my way for this delicious, perfectly warming drink 🔥🍵 within reason 😉 A well-served shot for €1.50 - excellent value for money 👍 Check it out if you're passing by La Colombière 🤩 which isn't difficult, just take the Serpentine (green run) on the left as you exit the Rosay chairlift 😉 Sunny terrace ☀️ very nice and the waitress is very friendly and smiling 🤗

27/08/2025: An absolutely unforgettable experience! Nestled in the heart of the Alps, this restaurant is a true gem. The view is breathtaking, each dish is a journey for the taste buds, and the welcome is as warm as it is sincere. You can feel the passion in each plate, fresh products enhanced with talent and creativity. I envy those who live nearby and can go there regularly... it's an address we would like to keep secret, but which deserves to be known to everyone.

28/08/2026: I really enjoyed the fondue (you need at least two people), even in the summer evening when it's cool and refreshing 😉. The servers were attentive and friendly, and we didn't have to wait at all. I recommend it 👍

26/08/2026: For the past four summers, we've been coming to Le Grand Bornand-le Chinaillon, and each time we visit Le Dérapage, several times during our stay, and we're never disappointed! A cozy and elegant restaurant, with a lively bar next door. Live concerts are regularly held on the terrace, making summer evenings truly magical. It's a family-run establishment, evident in its warm welcome and impeccable service, as well as its cuisine. Indeed, the menu offers—in addition to dishes made with quality local products—dishes from Italy, the country of origin of the owners. Classic dishes (Savoyard fondue, tartiflette, etc.) and original creations (Nduja risotto with prawns: an explosion of flavor!), all perfectly prepared, generous, and delicious. Not to mention the refined and flavorful homemade desserts; we opted for an Affogato al Caffè, drizzled with amaretto: the perfect ending to an excellent meal. Whether for an intimate dinner with gourmet dishes or for a relaxed drink accompanied by platters, Dérapage is an unmissable address to spend a pleasant time with family and/or friends.
