Cafe Saigon sur Saint-Emilion

A lovely restaurant in St Emilion, presenting a small but well crafted menu, the food was delicious, we had pork Won-tons, beef salad to start, pork with veggies and white rice, soup with seafood and thin rice noddles. All the food tasted fresh and had a lovely flavour profile, the pork dish was really good for our kids, while they are not the most adventurous eaters, this dish pushed their boundaries with a lovely lightly tamarind flavoured 5 spice curry sauce with no heat, perfect for the whole family, the adults had nice fresh Birds Eye chilly finely chopped as an accompaniment. They offer an extensive wine menu, which the waitress was very knowledgeable of, she helped us select a really nice dry white wine, the perfect accompaniment on a hot summers day. Thank you so much for a wonderful lunch.

Décevant. Prix un peu élevés. Peu de choix. Pas de menu du jour permettant de réduire le prix. Trop épicé. A saint Emilion il y a mieux. Pas de nems.

Very good food, friendly, attentive service. The dining room on the first floor is much nicer than you would expect from the outside. We are planning another visit.

Fresh ingredients but where is the spice? I was looking forward to a spicy meal.

Very nice lunch here, the rice paper rolls were delicious- very fresh and full of flavour! The grilled pork with vermicelli noodles was great- very tasty meat which was crunchy from the grill but also super tender. Nice wines at a good price. Highly recommend!

a place a little away from the crowded streets and squares but a nice surprise once inside. very jovial welcome, minimalist menu as required and finally good dishes on our table. service, smile, quality!!! the chef works in front of you on the ground floor awesome

We came last year, and we loved it. But this evening we were a little disappointed by the dishes which were a little dry and tasteless, lack of sauce (chicken and vegetable too simple, nothing worth 18 euros), also the ramen soup seemed freeze-dried and the squid frozen. The service, however, was warm and friendly! We wanted to let people know, maybe we'll come back and it was exceptional tonight.

The food is delicious 🤤 it’s worth the detour! The service provided by a very pleasant, friendly young waitress with excellent qualities. The atmosphere is friendly and calm.

Great food, its too full (ON A MONDAY NOON) and I didn’t make a Reservation. Its not even peak season. Had a good chat with the Chef and an OMAKASE treatment instead!!! Great Pork Soup with thick , flavourful and sweet soup paired with Pork Wonton & Shrimp Tempura with special Vietnam chilli dip… Soup is plainly flavourful and I only manage to left it with the only ingredients we can’t eat (its star anise by the way) French Chef making Vietnamese dish fused with local French Flavour is just FANTASTIC!!! Food took a while and worth the wait cause the Chef INSIST to cook each dishes to perfection…
