Had a really great meal here when on holiday with my family, they have a beautiful courtyard out the back. Not a cheap restaurant but the food was lovely and lots of choice to suit everyone. Would recommend booking as it seems to get very busy (understandably!)

The restaurant is superbly located and the food is brilliant too and portions are huge. Both the soup and lamb were delicious. The outdoor setup is also fantastic. Only regret I have is the bottle of wine suggested did not match my taste and I had to leave the half empty.

Yesterday evening we enjoyed an amazing diner at L’Envers du Décor. The restaurant was nice and busy, which we completely understood after our experience there. For starters we chose to share the foie gras, which was definitely enough as a starter for two. It tasted delicious! Afterwards we chose to share the lamb shoulder, which is maybe even enough for four ;)!! Since we couldn’t finish this dish but loved it so much, we asked the waiter if it was okay to take a doggybag. The service throughout the evening was great! We would gladly be back!

A lovely bistro in the heart of Saint Emilion. It has a large courtyard adjacent to a small church. The interior is also beautifully and tastefully decorated. Everything is well-maintained and clean. The food was excellent; we shared a shoulder of lamb. We also enjoyed a good wine, which we ordered by the glass. Reservations are highly recommended during peak season.

A very pleasant setting, with a lovely bistro atmosphere typical of Saint-Émilion. The decor is elegant and truly contributes to the charm of the place. I started with the foie gras, which was simply excellent: very delicate, perfectly balanced, and undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. I then chose the beef fillet, good overall, but a little disappointing after such a successful starter...

Elegant restaurant in the center of Saint-Emilion. We also appreciated the air conditioning, which is unfortunately not so common in this part of France despite the very hot climate for several years now. The foie gras appetizer was particularly popular, while the tomato and burrata was not the best choice, perhaps also because it was not made with local ingredients. The main courses, both the beef fillet and the tartare, were excellent. Service was professional and fast. Of course, given the area, the wine list is excellent.

A wonderful dining experience. L’Envers du Décor delivers a great dinner with excellent service in an amazing venue. Sitting in an ancient church courtyard and deciding which dinner choice you want is the perfect way to sip some wine and realize you are in a magical restaurant in a special place in France. The food is well prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. This was one of the best meals we had in France. Great setting, perfect service, and an amazing dinner. 5-stars understates this great spot.

Great experience! We enjoyed a pleasant meal in the cool, air-conditioned dining room, which was nicely decorated. The beef fillets were cooked perfectly and the side dishes were delicious. The wines and crème brûlée were excellent. The service was very pleasant; the waiter was friendly and professional. We'll definitely return if we're ever in the area again.

20/08/2026: We hadn't seen the reviews before going to this restaurant and I must admit that I don't understand, after eating there, why the ratings aren't higher… The service is friendly, professional and efficient and the value for money is excellent both for the food and the wine!

07/09/2026: We had the sole and volaille supreme . The fish black rice came with so much cheese in long strings I had to send it back because strange combination with fish however it was solved expertly and correctly and we both had a lovely lunch . In winter and with less heat flies people we’d probably stay for a coffee . It’s inside dining with the tiniest kitchen next to one toilet , so that makes it all feel a bit crowded especially in hot weather . The staff were super friendly and attentive. Reservations recommended.
01/09/2026: Honestly, it was perfect. The dishes were of very high quality, almost bistronomic. The service lived up to the restaurant's reputation, which is to say, perfect. The only downside... the price was a bit high for the overall experience. But the setting made us forget about that.
