Typical bistro in Saint-Émilion with a lot of tradition, where we were able to enjoy traditional dishes such as Foie-gras in red wine, a charcuterie board, a Prime Rib or a Confit Lamb Shoulder; all made with local products and respecting temporality. Be careful with wine prices.

Beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere.
The service was very efficient, professional and polite.
The food was incredible!
I had the special of the day (cod) and for a dessert the classic crepes Suzette (highly recommend it).
Amazing wine list and selection of aperitifs.

As a couple we had lunch there on Sunday March 17, 2024. The cuisine is correct, my andouillette and fries perfect, the least of things relative to its à la carte price.
We were on a central table for two, well we didn't have reservations.
Before dessert the room manager politely asks us if we agree to change places because he wants to group our table to make one of 4.
We accept with a smile, this is a first, a disturbance during a meal for a lucrative reason.
No commercial gesture, not even the free coffees.
I should have rented our table of 2 from them, which I will offer next time, for the same lucrative reason 😁
PS: the poor service rating only targets the Corsican room manager.
I forgot he crammed 6 people onto a table of 4.

One of the few restaurants that were open in Saint Emillion given it’s early March. They gave us savoury muffins to kick the evening off while we perused the menus. After ordering a bottle of wine, we settled on starters of fois gras and soup of the day (both were delicious) and a lamb shoulder for two to share.
The lamb was served with pearl couscous and a fig jam spread on top. It was tender and well seasoned and would have easily fed three people. We had no room for dessert but the ones we saw on other people’s tables looked good.
It’s a traditional style restaurant that knows its menu and does it well. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Well located in the middle of the town.

The food is pretty good. We had the foie gras and the Moroccan lamb. Both were good, but the lamb needed a little salt. The house evoo for bread dipping is delicious. The restaurant is very pretty. Just know that everyone in there will be a tourist with a tour guide, but I guess that's all of St Emillion.
