An entrance opens onto the street, leading under a beautifully decorated wooden roof adorned with string lights. The zucchini carpaccio with octopus is a delight! A superb atmosphere with soft background music.

I would have given more than five stars if possible. A fantastic find in Saint-Émilion. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious food. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We came for a drink/coffee after our meal on a Saturday in February. The French toast was a delight, both visually and in terms of taste. Thanks again to the kitchen staff for preparing it even though lunch service had ended. The welcome was excellent and the owner was lovely. There was a wide selection of wines. The establishment is original and warm with all its raw wood. I will definitely be back to eat there again soon.

Just popped in for a glass of wine but it was a great atmosphere and very friendly service. Wine of course brilliant and lots of choice.

Everything was perfect, I highly recommend this restaurant. The duck breast and the burger were incredible. The service was super friendly too!

We had the set menu for two, which came with oysters. I can't comment on the à la carte menu (though the oysters were quite good), but the set menu was very average. The first course was a sandwich with a slice of cheese on top, followed by salmon with lemon sauce and rice that looked like cement putty. The chicken and duck weren't bad, but nothing special. I'm giving it a 3 because of the oysters and the excellent service from the waiter, who was very friendly, but the food was quite ordinary. The town is beautiful, by the way.

Ideal restaurant for a meal in town. The unique entrance has several tables for drinks and tapas. Inside, there's a small dining room. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even venturing to use Spanish to explain everything! And the food was quite good!! Duck burger and duck confit ✨ and a wide selection of wines!!

06/08/2026: Fantastic food and excellent service! We visited for dinner and absolutely loved it. We started with the cucumber gazpacho (the special of the day) followed by stuffed turkey ballotine and duck breast for mains. It was just delicious. The service was just as impressive. The whole restaurant was full, yet only two people were running everything seamlessly. They were warm, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. If you are around, give it a try. We would happily come back!

30/07/2026: Lovely meal in Saint Emilion. Really great quality and great taste in all dishes. Ordered, amongst other things, a super tasty and well presented duck confit on mashed potatoes and steak tartare which had a lovely spicy twist to it. The crab roll was fab too - huge. All dishes we had were great for sharing which is a plus for families with kids! All dishes were seasoned to perfection.
22/07/2026: This place never disappoints! This was our 5th time eating here! We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. Sylvan is awesome. This is always a stop on our travels. I highly recommend! The only sad part is we won't be able to return until next spring.
