Cafe Saint-Pol sur Nogent-Le-Rotrou

Dinner with friends before a concert. Very warm welcome with valuable advice. A restaurant I chose by chance, but one I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful family lunch this Sunday in the sunshine on the terrace. Thank you to everyone: quick service, friendly staff. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious.

If you want to eat well in Nogent-le-Rotrou (and move beyond the admittedly delicious pizzas of two other establishments in town), you must eat at this place; original menu and a chef who takes great care with his dishes, local beers as well as local produce and a warm welcome, in short, it has become my canteen for 5 years and my escape from Paris on weekends and holidays... Prices are reasonable and the terrace is pleasant as soon as the sun comes out!

The decor was a bit drab, the mojito needed improvement—it lacked flavor. The meal was decent, nothing more. The staff were pleasant.

A wonderful discovery this lunchtime after finishing our market shopping. A very pleasant lunch break, a warm welcome, and quality dishes made with fresh produce and very generous portions. We will gladly return and highly recommend your establishment!

We followed the reviews and left quite disappointed with our experience. The evening menu is offered at an affordable price (€19 for a starter and main course), but the food is very average: the portions are generous, but the flavors are bland and excessively sauced, which detracts from the overall taste. The service was subpar: the young waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu, which she didn't know well and showed little interest in. The wine list, on the other hand, is interesting, but poorly matched to the set menus: bottles of red wine average around €50, with prices starting at €40. The bill came to €97 for two people, including a €59 bottle of wine (which was excellent, by the way), but the set menus clearly lacked flavor, leaving a sense of incongruity. Finally, the room lacked warmth and atmosphere, with a feel more reminiscent of a cafeteria than a restaurant, and the absence of music didn't help create a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

La Terrasse St Pol. The restaurant in Nogent, by far the friendliest, most welcoming and excellent, with fresh, local produce at fair prices. Smiling staff, always in good spirits.
