Right next to the cathedral is this very welcoming bistro. We chose it partly because of the staff's attire, and it turned out to be a great choice!
The salads with chicken cutlets (fresh!) and the burgers are both excellent. The apple tarte taténe is excellent 🤩 Fast service, very kind staff. In short... if you're passing through, it's worth a stop!

Actually, it was really nice, good food, friendly and fast service. However, why the rather grim-looking young waiter had to fold up the parasols shortly after our arrival (in 38-degree heat), even though none of the four guests seemed to mind, remains a mystery. Later, he also had to move tables and chairs around for several minutes, making a lot of noise. It made you feel like a silly tourist.
Therefore, one star less.

The location is the reason to come. Situated right beside the cathedral, it offers a beautiful setting to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the view. While the prices are a little higher, that's to be expected given the prime location.
The service was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. I would recommend it for the overall experience alone.
I was also pleasantly surprised that, despite being in such a popular tourist area, it didn't feel overwhelmingly crowded like many spots in Paris. It was a much more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, tables in the shade. We opted for the Gourmand salad – with foie gras and duck breast. Price: €21. We shared the portion, which was more than ample. A lovely terrace – although smoking is permitted there. Impressive interior rooms, clean restrooms. Highly recommended.

It's generally said that you should avoid restaurants in tourist hotspots. But here, despite its "strategic" location on the south side of the cathedral, everything is perfect: friendly, attentive service, a good menu, and the food is very good and freshly prepared. Great value for money!
