A very pleasant lunch, especially with the terrace offering a lovely view of Place Carnot. The students greeted us with smiles and efficiency. The kind and professional manager ensured everything ran smoothly for everyone. The hot dishes were of very high quality and seasoned with care! There was a selection of salads, paninis, and more! Everything was there for a pleasant time in a beautiful, cozy dining room. Thank you to the entire team for their attentive service! We come every week with great pleasure.

Café Carnot is a place I highly recommend! The daily special is excellent, made with high-quality ingredients. The terrace is magnificent, perfect for enjoying a pleasant moment. It's affiliated with the Vatel school, and it shows: the students are very professional, attentive, and dedicated. Special mention goes to the manager, who runs the place with a firm hand, demonstrating great skill and elegance. An address I recommend without hesitation!

We came for a meal and ordered the daily specials. It was excellent. Great atmosphere and top-notch staff. The students run the café with a professor who supervises them. The café attracts both students and older people. On a previous evening, there was a fantastic DJ who played a lively party. I recommend this place for a great time.

A quick stop at Café Vatel for a sandwich. The Parisian I was offered was perfectly balanced between the pickles (perfectly positioned), the cheese, and the bread. Unfortunately, the overall experience was rather average due to the mediocre quality of the bread. (It's easy to find a good bakery in Lyon for bread!) The welcome was decent and the service was good (mostly students), with smooth service.

What a great find! An ideal place to enjoy a good breakfast while still being able to work in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

This place is insane. Students’ community reigns here, everyone’s having fun, very polite and are very welcoming. I love French folk!

Disappointed. The Roquefort salad tasted good, but there was nothing in it to make it even remotely substantial. Not even a piece of bread. The large salad was barely enough for a starter. Otherwise, the desserts looked tempting. What a shame...

As usual, excellent service, a perfect and professional welcome, and outstanding value for money. A sure bet.
