A regular customer for several years, we've very rarely been disappointed. I can wholeheartedly recommend most of the pizzas; the staff is always welcoming and the prices are good for the quantity/quality ratio. Great spot in Lille!

A warm and welcoming place, a friendly team that makes you want to come back. Proof? I came three nights in a row! The friendliness of the North isn't just a myth, and my little Marseillais heart is thinking: "Actually, Lille isn't so bad after all." Well done to the whole team, keep it up! 02/05/2026: I ordered the steak because it is said to be the signature dish, and it certainly is a style I’ve never seen before. They debone the steak with a knife and serve it like rib meat, preparing it right next to you as if it were a performance. The signature steak comes with French fries, a sauce that looks like vegetables simmered together—probably ratatouille—bread, and a small salad. The steak was unique, and the accompanying items were generous, so I really enjoyed the meal. I also ordered an asparagus dish as an appetizer, which was delicious as well. Best of all, the weather was nice, and it was great to eat outdoors in a great atmosphere. It seems like a good place to feel like you’re on a trip to France while enjoying wine and steak in the sunshine.
18/04/2026: A friendly and welcoming atmosphere in a typical old Lille building. Friendly staff and a tempting menu! The ingredients are fresh and the specialties are simply irresistible. The side dishes complement the main courses perfectly! As for the wines, the extensive list will delight wine lovers! Le Fossile is an institution that comes highly recommended!

07/06/2026: The salmon tartare, beef tartare, and Welsh rarebit were very good, but the service was a bit slow... a shame.
17/05/2026: We had a wonderful evening. Generous portions and top-notch service. A place to recommend, François is on top of his game. Don't come to Lille without stopping at this place! A very nice restaurant, very good food, and a great, friendly, family atmosphere – truly lovely. If you want to have fun, À taaaable will delight you! The Normans
