Castillan sur La Grave

Great hotel with a very friendly and uncomplicated welcome. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The breakfast buffet is small, but very well selected. The hotel's own restaurant is particularly convenient. I really liked my room with its balcony and beautiful view – a successful blend of rustic and modern style. Everything was clean, and the large shower was a real plus. I'd gladly come back! 👍

Excellent welcome, truly superb food, and very pleasant staff – highly recommended

I stayed 7 nights in this hotel. First of all ofcourse the incredible location. La Grave is a very charming town with lovely people, and a lot of opportunities not only for ski but also for hiking. You can go with the Telepherique to 3200 meters (or 2400) and this gives you incredible views. But also in the town itself (go to the lower part near the camping) there are a lot of small or longer walks possible. More focused on the hotel: I met very kind people there, I had a very big room for a small price, with balcony and great view over La Meie, and small requests were always answered with a smile. Restaurant is very good aswell (Just make sure to reserve a table I think it can become pretty crowded because of the justified good reviews). All in all had a great time here, would definitely recommend. Plus: Supermarket in the town has a lot aswell and that is not very common here. Thanks to everyone. :)

The hotel and restaurant are ideally located for a stay in La Grave. The room was very decent, functional, and clean, with a beautiful view of La Meije. The food was excellent, and the breakfast was generous. The staff was welcoming.

Great lunch Great restaurant Bar and terrace atmosphere

I spent four very pleasant and comfortable nights there. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was fantastic. The bar has a terrace which is, in my opinion, the best place in the world to have a beer after a day of skiing. I highly recommend this establishment. ;)

A unique place we've known for years. Always an excellent welcome, what can we say about this bar and its room facing the Meije except that it's very pleasant to start your day there and end it after a great day of sport.

We had dinner at the restaurant. The setting is beautiful, the food perfectly acceptable, but the service and welcome were bland, uninspired, and soulless. And it's not the first time. What a shame, in such a beautiful mountain setting!

As a bus driver, due to work-related reasons related to the closure of the Lautaret Pass, I had to spend two nights at the hotel on a half-board basis. Beyond the service, which was exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this type, I especially want to mention how incredibly welcoming everyone was. Above all, I clearly felt everyone's genuine desire to make me happy by meeting my every need, even the simplest ones. Truly, the quality of service was exceptional. I can't wait for the Lautaret Pass to reopen...
