A place with no competition that offers anything and everything, fortunately the prices are decent. Unfortunately, when it comes to the quality of the ingredients and mixtures, they're not homemade... Especially the lemonade. @lvs.kid

It's a true institution, as I've known this place since my youth (I'm over 50), and the staff is still as unfriendly as ever... The tables are often rickety and rarely repaired, which shows the esteem of the passing tourist, essentially... The menu is as old as the sign. Too bad, we have so many good memories in this forest... P.S.: The story of the bandits' tavern is a pure commercial invention of the owners of the time.

The decor inside transports you back to the 70s, rustic and traditional... It's lively without being too noisy... The service is quaint and old-fashioned... And the traditional cuisine is delicious!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs meurette and the pot-au-feu 😋 I didn't know where to go when I came to Fontainebleau because I was always disappointed... Now I know 👍 A must-try if you like good, classic French cuisine, well-executed, at very reasonable prices! Long may it last 🤓 Thank you 🙏
