Chateau de Beaulieu sur Joue-Les-Tours

Lovely location on the edge of Tours, where we spent three happy nights on a half board option. This worked well for us - being out and about all day & then to return to base to chill. We had a lovely room in which we were very comfortable with our dog too. So relieved to know that our companion could accompany us when dining. Food on site was very varied, but of good quality, some may find portions a tad small, but it was well presented and accompanied with homemade bread! Breakfasts were all what we have come to know well as a french breakfast. Croissants & Pain au Chocolate were good quality and the fresh orange juice very welcomed too. There was a huge wine lists with some very ‘interesting’ wines! Whilst more modest wines were to be found in amongst the Whites. We were intent on trying the local wines too. Staff were all very attentive and accommodating & we would certainly love to return.

We spent two wonderful nights at this castle. We stayed in room 9 with a view of the park. The room was very well appointed, with tasteful decor. The property is magnificent both inside and out. We had dinner one evening with the special Easter menu at a very reasonable price; it was delicious! We also tried the spa and massage; the space was very cozy and clean, and we had a wonderful time as a couple. We had bicycles, and the staff kindly offered to store them for us in a secure room overnight. We highly recommend this establishment.

Take a morning stroll in the park among the centuries-old trees, in a meticulously maintained garden, listen to the birdsong and the gentle murmur of the small fountain, after an exceptional, homemade breakfast—undoubtedly the best soft-boiled eggs and the finest jams and honey in the area. Special mention goes to the service and the unforgettable sommelier, whose kindness and generosity were truly remarkable. Exquisite refinement pervades this Château de Beaulieu, which truly lives up to its name. The welcome is simple, elegant, and warm, where nothing is left to chance. Even insomniacs will eventually drift off peacefully and wake up in a state of complete tranquility and peace. Each room is unique, wonderfully romantic, and exceptionally comfortable. A beautiful place, the staff are particularly pleasant and attentive. A minor drawback is the difference between the pavilion rooms and the castle rooms. However, the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is very good but lacks variety in the savory options (ham and eggs). The spa is very pleasant. The restaurant offers well-prepared and beautifully presented food, with excellent service.

A beautiful establishment with a breathtaking view of the park. Dinner was excellent, featuring high-quality ingredients, and breakfast was equally delicious. The staff is well-trained and very pleasant. We will gladly return.

We wanted to treat ourselves to an extraordinary Valentine's Day for our 50th wedding anniversary, and by choosing the Château de Beaulieu, we received exceptional service. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. Indeed, the setting is splendid, the hotel with its magnificent furnishings, and the meal was delicious. Just two small suggestions: the background music sung by the excellent Héloïse May could be a little quieter, as we couldn't converse amongst ourselves; and a touch more red, pink, and white in the restaurant's decor would have enhanced the room. A very charming hotel with very pleasant staff, despite a room mix-up upon arrival. We had booked a superior room and were given a basic one, but this mix-up was rectified very quickly! The breakfast service is excellent! Fast, very good, fresh products, and what a pleasure to have breakfast in our room! Where we were very disappointed was with the restaurant… we are rather fond of good food, but we didn't enjoy our dinner at all. Except for the cheese and wine, which were very good. The rest was really not up to the hotel's standard, especially considering the price! Undercooked potatoes, a lack of flavor in the dishes—we hardly ate anything. Unfortunately, it didn't win us over. A shame, because otherwise, everything else was very good.

A 50-minute massage, a gift from my family. A very pleasant experience. Angèle has expert hands! One negative point, however, which isn't her fault: the massage parlor's location is poor. It's right next to the spa's changing rooms, and the ambient noise makes it difficult to fully relax. A shame.
